In addition, four student-athletes were named to the NWCA (National Wrestling Coaches Association) Scholar All-America Team. BW finished 20th in the final NWCA poll. In 2013-2014, Gibbs and the Yellow Jacket program took a major step forward as it had an 8-3 dual match record, sent three wrestlers to the 2014 Div. III national tourney, including Gunter who placed third and earned Div. III All-American status. In addition, three Yellow Jackets, including Gunter, were named to the NWCA Scholar All-America Team. BW finished the season ranked 22nd in the final adidas-Brute/ NWCA Division III poll. It was BW's first Top-25 ranking since 2007. "Our goals are to have the best record in the Ohio Athletic Conference during its dual match season and to qualify as many young men as possible to the NCAA Tournament by competing well at the NCAA Regional Tournament," said Gibbs. "We are very pleased with our progress so far. "Along the way, we, as a coaching staff, want to work with the young men in our program to help them to excell academically and athletically," continued Gibbs. "We work hard every day to build a larger roster with a solid group of veteran leaders who are great role models for our younger team members. We also will work hard to bring to BW another strong recruiting class as we hope to win a second straight OAC title, an NCAA Mideast Regional title and the school's first-ever Div. III national title in wrestling." Gibbs also is no stranger to success.
