Baldwin Wallace University Women's Golf

Kapusta '87 is in his fourth season as the head women's golf coach at Baldwin Wallace University in 2016-2017. Coach Kapusta is very familiar with BW women's golf. He is a graduate of the University and his daughter is one of the best to ever play at BW.  He is invested in both the program and its student-athletes and wants to help them get the very best education possible and have the opportunity to play championship golf. "Our goals don't change," said Kapusta. "We want to have a lot of fun, win invitational tournaments, conference titles and earn NCAA Division III national tournament berths with an opportunity to win a national title," said Kapusta. "The top priority is to help our young women get a great education. So far, the BW program has done very well." In his first season as coach, Kapusta led the Yellow Jackets to a 64-25-1 record, an Ohio Athletic Conference title and a 17th place finish at the 2014 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament in Florida. For his efforts, Coach Kapusta was named as the OAC Women's Golf Coach of the Year. Coach Kapusta is no stranger to the Yellow Jacket womens golf program.  His daughter, Rebecca 13, graduated in the spring of 2013 as one of the most celebrated women's golf student-athletes.  A lifelong interest and passion in the sport has promted Kapusta to become even more involved in the BW program. In addition to being a lifelong golfer who regularly competes in leagues, he has been involved with both his daughter and son in their golf careers at the high school level. He also has 15 years of coaching experience in the sports of basketball and baseball. Kapusta earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from BW in 1987. Since 1972, he has worked at North American Manufacturing in a variety of positions, beginning as a machinist and currently in the area of management and the Manager of Procurement and Planning. He plans to retire soon and devote a great deal of his spare time to developing the Yellow Jacket program. Kapusta and his wife Kathleen reside in Independence.
