Career Record at Adrian 7-19 Conference Record 6-10 All-MIAA Selections 1 MIAA Tournament Appearances 1 Sam Miller '10 took over as Head Coach of Adrian College Women's Basketball in July 2024. He returns to Adrian College where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in marketing in 2010. After graduating from Adrian, Miller went on to earn his Master's Degree in Coaching Sport Performance from Western Michigan University. The 2025-2026 season will be Miller's second as Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "We are very happy to welcome Coach Miller back to Adrian College," Athletic Director, Craig Rainey said. "Miller's experience in collegiate coaching at the NCAA Division I level is something we are excited to have. We love that Coach Miller has a connection to Adrian College and had a great experience as a student-athlete where he wanted to return home. We are looking forward to future of our women's basketball program." During his time at Adrian College, Miller was a member of the men's basketball team from 2006-08. Miller's wife, Jennifer Perrin, was a member of the women's basketball team from 2006-10. "My family and I are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to return to Adrian College to lead the women's basketball program," said Miller. "As alumni of the college, to say that my wife and I feel pride in returning to AC is a massive understatement. We truly love this place, and most everything we have together can be attributed to the foundation and support that AC affords all of its students, both in their time on campus and as graduates." Coach Miller's recently served as assistant coach and the Director of Scouting & Video Operations for the University of North Carolina women's basketball team. During his time at North Carolina from 2021-23, the UNC women's basketball team combined for a record of 47-18 and made two trips to the NCAA Tournament including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2022. Prior to UNC, Miller was the assistant coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Duke University from 2017-20 after spending the 2016-17 season as the Video Coordinator. While at Duke, the team combined for a record of 85-42 during his four seasons and made a pair of trips to the NCAA Tournament with a Sweet 16 spot in 2018. Miller spent some of his early coaching career at Kalamazoo College where he was an assistant coach for the men's basketball team after spending a season with the New York Knicks NBA G League affiliate, the Erie Bayhawks. Before the G League, Miller served for two seasons as a Graduate Assistant for the men's basketball team at Western Michigan where he was the Manager & Video Coordinator after spending a summer as a Player Development Assistant for Michigan State University men's basketball. Chad Davis is entering his ninth season as the head coach of the Adrian College NCAA women’s hockey program with the 2025-26 campaign. Chad coached seven seasons with the team from 2011-2018, and returned to the Bulldogs in 2024 after the departure of Shawn Skelly. Under his previous leadership, the Bulldogs had become one of the top Division III programs in the country with three NCAA tournament appearances (four overall), one trip to the National Finals, 10 AHCA/CCM All-Americans, five student-athletes to sign professional contracts and a 75-12-2 overall record (.848) over the last three seasons of his first tenure.   AT ADRIAN • Has accumulated a record of 173-41-12 (.792) as the head coach. • His .704 winning percentage makes him the eighth-winningest active coach in NCAA Division III. • Three consecutive NCAA tournament appearances in 2016-18, including as the National Runner-up in 2017. • Won the NCHA regular-season championship for four consecutive seasons (2015-18) and captured the conference tournament three times (2016-18). • Has coached 13 student-athletes who have combined to earn 33 All-America certificates from American Hockey Coaches Association (ACHA), U.S. College Hockey Online (USCHO.com), D3hockey.com and HERO Sports. • Coached two USCHO.com Rookie of the Year skaters and 2017 Division III Women's Player of the Year Kristin Lewicki. • Named the AHCA/CCM Coach of the Year in 2017 after guiding the Bulldogs to a 28-3 record and NCAA tournament championship game appearance. • Has been the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Coach of the Year for four consecutive seasons (2015-18). A LOOK AT THE HISTORIC 2016-17 SEASON • The team finished the NCHA season with a perfect 18-0-0 conference record. It’s the first time in league history that a team has finished a season unbeaten and untied. • Due to the success in conference, the team won its third consecutive regular season crown (Kronschnabel Trophy). The Bulldogs also won the conference tournament (Slaats Cup) to earn the automatic qualifier for the NCAA Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Championship. • Produced six All-Americans, including a sweep of the national player and rookie of the year awards from USCHO.com.  • Fifteen team and individual season records broken or tied, plus 28 wins, 18 NCHA victories and 16 home wins. • Adrian won its first-ever NCAA Tournament game against Elmira in overtime (5-4) before hosting the D-III Championship site for the first time in school history. • Adrian drew Gustavus Adolphus in the semifinal round, defeating the Gusties in overtime to advance to the title game against No. 1 Plattsburgh State. Adrian fell in an overtime thriller to the Cardinals in the championship game. The Bulldogs' 2017 NCAA Tournament run was the deepest in program history and made the women’s hockey team one of two AC NCAA teams to be national runner-up. Maddy Maloney closed her third season, and second as Head Coach, with the Adrian College Women’s ACHA Division 2 hockey program in 2023-24. Having graduated in 2021 from Adrian College, with her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, she has since received certifications in Personal Training and Sports Nutrition. During her time at Adrian, Maloney spent two seasons as a defenseman for the ACHA Division 1 team where she totaled 25 points in 53 appearances and was named an All-American in 2020. Previous to Adrian College she attended Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts where she made 52 career appearances for the Hawks’ NCAA Division III hockey team and was a regular on the college’s Dean’s List. Maloney and her coaching staff have worked tirelessly over the last few seasons recruiting, mentoring, and helping their athletes be the best that they can and will do everything they can for all the girls every season. As Head Coach of the ACHA Women's Division 2 team, Maloney holds a 32-21 record, with trips to the 2023 and 2024 CCWHA Division 2 Playoffs and the 2023 and 2024 ACHA National Tournaments. Upon the 2023-24 season, Maloney was named the ACHA Women's Division 2 National Coach of the Year, recognizing her and the team's accomplishments throughout the 2023-24 season.  

Theresa DiMaggio was hired as the new Head Coach of Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 2 hockey on May 12, 2025. DiMaggio comes to Adrian College from Shelby Township, Michigan. As an athlete, DiMaggio attended Trine University for four seasons where she was a member of the Trine University Women's NCAA hockey team. DiMaggio was named to the 2019 NCHA All-Rookie Team and was tabbed the 2019 NCHA Freshman of the Year. Her talents were also present on the Trine University Women's Lacrosse team for one season. Upon graduation from Trine in 2022, where she concluded her studies with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration Sport Management, DiMaggio then attended Lawrence Tech University, where she obtained her Master of Science degree in Business Marketing and played one season for the Lawrence Tech Women's ACHA Division 2 hockey team, serving as the team's Assistant Captain. Over the course of her professional career, DiMaggio has served as a Program Administrator for Suburban Ice in Macomb, and has spent time as a Sports Information intern at both Trine and Lawrence Tech. The Michigan native was also promoted to Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at LTU. She now serves as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Adrian College, alongside coaching.  In addition to her work away from the ice, DiMaggio also served as Head Coach of Michigan State University's Women's ACHA Division 1 hockey squad last season, coaching the Spartans to a 13-7-3 record. DiMaggio begins her first season at the helm of Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 2 Hockey in 2025-26. *Updated as of December 11, 2025*  

The Adrian College Athletics Department announced the hiring of Angela Sikora in August 2024 as the new Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. Sikora comes to Adrian from The Evergreen State College, where she graduated in 2020 with a bachelors degree in Social Science. During her time as a student with The Evergreen State, the Washington native played two seasons for the women's basketball squad. Upon graduation, Sikora moved into a full-time role working as an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach and as an Office Assistant of Parking Services at The Evergreen State. In her role as Assistant Coach, Sikora inspired and empowered a team of approximately twelve student-athletes each season, fostering a culture of dedication and excellence both in practice sessions and during competitive games. She also orchestrated practice schedules and individual training sessions to adequately prepare athletes for upcoming games, ensuring they were equipped with the skills and mindset needed for success. Sikora monitored safety of training, individual exercises, and equipment usage to minimize the risk of sports injuries and damage to the facility, as well as playing a pivotal role in team management and coordination during travel, meticulously organizing travel logistics, managing receipts, and adhering to a structured travel itinerary to optimize team efficiency and performance. Brendan Ramboer took over as Head Coach of Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 1 Hockey in 2024. The 2025-2026 season will be his second behind the Bulldog bench. Ramboer comes from Grand Valley State University where he played ACHA Hockey and graduated in 2022 with a bachelors degree in Exercise Science. Post-graduation, he spent two seasons as the Head Coach of the Women's ACHA Division 1 Hockey program at GVSU. Ramboer took over for previous Head Coach, Carter Clarke, who led the Bulldogs to the program's first national championship victory in 2024. *Updated as of July 2, 2025*
