Isaac Collins
Head Coach
Isaac Collins was named the head football coach of Albright College in February 2022. Coach Collins is set to begin year two at the helm of the Albright football program and is poised to have a break out 2023 campaign on the heels of one of the strongest recruiting classes in Albright football history. Last season, Collins led two student athletes to program records. Senior linebacker Sam Viera set the new all time career tackles record and Senior defensive end Ryan Rapp set the new program record for single sacks in a season. Collins brings over 25 years of coaching experience with him to the Albright football program. Prior to joining the Lions, Collins served as the defensive coordinator, special teams coordinator and secondary coach at Bucknell University from 2019-2022. In the spring of 2021 he led a Bucknell defense that saw five All-Patriot League honorees. Prior to his time at Bucknell, Collins was Head Football Coach for nine years, first at Widener University and then at Seton Hill University. Collins spent three seasons at the helm of the Widener football program from 2010-2012 where they posted a record of 25-8. In the 2012 season, he led the Pride to a Middle Atlantic Conference title while also guiding them to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals for the first time since 2001. As a result of their success, Collins was named the MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year, the D3Football.com East Region Coach of the Year and the Maxwell Touchdown Clubs Tri State Coach of the Year. In the previous season, Wideners offense lead the nation by averaging 47.1 points per game as they accumulated a 9-2 record and claimed the ECAC Atlantic South Bowl Championship. Collins served as the head coach at Seton Hill for six years where he helped the Griffins tie their best overall record since 2008 in 2016. The Griffins lead the nation in passing offense in Division II during that season. During the 2015 season, Collins led the Griffins to upset No. 14 Slippery Rock, a team that reached the NCCA quarterfinals that year. From 2006-2009, Collins served at The Citadel as the Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach. The Bulldogs led the South Conference in total defense during the 2007 season which led them to finish the season with their best record in 15 years. Collins has also served as the Recruiting Coordinator and Defensive Secondary Coach at the University of Delaware (2005), Associate Head Football Coach and Defensive Coordinator at the College of the Holy Cross (2004), Recruiting Coordinator and Defensive Secondary Coach at Lehigh University (2000-2003) and was an assistant coach at Columbia University (1998-2000). In his collegiate playing days, Collins was a running back at the University of Rochester. A member of the Athletic Hall of Fame, Collins finished third in school history as an All-Time Leading Rusher. In 1992, Collins was named Offensive Player of the Year in the University Athletic Association Conference as he helped his team win the conference title. He graduated from Rochester in 1994 with a degree in political science. Collins also had an impressive high school career at Geneva High School as he was inducted into the Geneva Sports Hall of Fame.
