Khanh Nguyen

Assistant Coach

Nguyen has been an assistant women's soccer coach at Albright College since 2003. Nguyen, who is a Berks County native, was a four year starter and All-Conference selection at Muhlenberg High School. After graduating from Muhlenberg, Nguyen continued his playing career at Penn State University, where he played for two seasons. Albright has advanced to the MAC Commonwealth Tournament in four of the last five years including both the 2014 and 2015 seasons. The 2012 Lions qualified for both the Commonwealth and ECAC South championships, for the second consecutive year each. In 2011, Albright went 9-5-5, with three of those losses coming against nationally-ranked teams (including two to eventual national champion Messiah). The Lions qualified for the Commonwealth Conference tournament and then beat Swarthmore in the ECAC South playoffs on the way to a semifinal appearance. The 2010 season saw continued success for the Red and White as they tied nationally-ranked conference opponent Widener University.   In 2009, the Lions made the Commonwealth Conference tournament for the second time in five years. The 2008 campaign Stanco featured a 7-10 overall record, and a five-game win streak in the middle of the season. When not coaching the Lions, Nguyen serves as the president and coaches a premier team, Manchester United which is part of ACFC Soccer Academy. Nguyen currently holds several United States Soccer Federation (USSF) licenses, as well as a NSCAA diploma. With over 18 years of coaching experience, Nguyen has helped to develop players at all levels from youth all the way to some of the top premier teams in the state.
