Earl Graves
Assistant Coach
Graves enters his second season as the Assistant Cross Country / Track & Field Coach & first as the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator at Alderson Broaddus University. His specialty for track & field is in sprints, jumps, and hurdles. Graves comes to AB by the way of Frostburg State where he was the Assistant Track and Field Head Coach from 2013-2015. At Frostburg State, Graves conducted daily practices for 25 athletes and development and technical skills through drills and instruction. He was also responsible for Team Operations, Compliance and Media Coordinator in charge of team operations, compliance responsibility and media outreach. Graves coached 10 All-Capital Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying athletes, three CAC Champions, and 41 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying athletes during his time at Frostburg State. He has two USATF Level II certifications. One is in sprints/hurdles/relays and the other is in combined events. Prior to Frostburg State, Graves was the Head Boys Track and Field Coach at Jefferson Forest High School from 2009-2012. During his time there, he coached 19 all-state athletes, and had one state championship record broken as well as three school records. Graves spent his college days at Lynchburg College where he was a four-time national qualifier as well as a seven-time conference champion and a 10-time all-ODAC athlete. He graduated in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology and is currently working on his Masters in Recreation & Park Management at Frostburg State University. Graves resides in Philippi, W.Va.

Jesse Weiner
Coach
Weiner enters his fifth year as Director of Men's & Women's Cross Country / Director of Men's & Women's Track & Field. During the last four years the team broke 59 Indoor and Outdoor school records. Weiner has had some outstanding athletes for track and field: James Anderson- 2014 G-MAC Field Athlete of the Meet, Jacob Goble, 2015 G-MAC Field Athlete of the Meet. G-MAC Champions: 2014- Jenny Brewer-5K, James Anderson- Javelin, Men's 4x400m Relay (Anderson, Blake, Moseley, Moore), Antonio DeStefano- Shot Put. 2015: INDOOR- Jacob Goble- Shot Put. OUTDOOR- Jacob Goble- Shot Put and Hammer Throw, Isaac Silafau- Javelin. The women's team earned All-Academic honors for three straight seasons. In 2016, the Battlers placed 16 student-athletes on the G-MAC All-Conference Team for indoor track & field team & 15 on the outdoor list. The cross country team has steadily improved with under Weiner. In 2015, freshman Taylor Treadway was named the G-MAC freshman of the year for the Battlers. Jenny Brewer earned G-MAC Freshman of the Year honors in 2012 and has been a First-Team All-Conference selection in 2013 and 2014. Hannah Surface and John Mundey each earned second-team All-G-MAC honors in 2014. Weiner served as the associate head women's cross country coach, assistant men's cross country coach and assistant men's and women's track and field coach in 2010-11 seasons. Weiner worked as the long distance, mid distance, and sprints coach. Weiner was also the head recruiting coordinator. He recruited incoming freshman who made an immediate impact on the cross country and track and field programs. Following his time spent at Adrian, Weiner spent time at East Stroudsburg Univiersity. While a student at East Stroudsburg, Weiner worked many high school and collegiate track meets and also filled the role of student assistant XC/Track coach. Weiner coordinated meet setups for the indoor PSAC Championships and also for the area high school meet which hosted over 35 schools. He has his Level I Certification from USA Track and Field. He spent August 2008 to January 2010 as a graduate assistant cross country and track & field coach at his alma mater. He helped the Warrior men's outdoor track & field team finish second at the 2009 and 2010 PSAC Championships. The same group also placed second in the 2010 indoor PSAC Championships. Weiner also served as an intern at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia and worked closely with the meet director assisting in the daily operations. He was a four-year member of the cross country and track & field teams at East Stroudsburg from 2005-08. Weiner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in interdisciplinary studies (2008) and a master's degree in sports management (2010) from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania.
