Alma College Men's Swimming

Copland's last program included two junior national qualifiers and two more sectional qualifiers. In addition, many Alma College swimming top-ten and school record holders swam club with Delphinus. He served as assistant swim coach for the Scots from 2001-04 and 1993-94. He was in charge of all the technical areas of the program, including computer maintenance, video capture, web updates and software maintenance. In addition, he assisted with the on-campus and off-campus recruiting efforts and spearheaded an expanded summer youth swim camp for program visibility and fundraising. Other stops along the way during Copland's career include WaveRunners of Lansing (2005-present), St. John's Sea Lions (2001-03), East Lansing High School (1998), Lansing Eastern High School (1986-1997), Lansing Swim Association (1976-84), Lansing Community College (1979-80) and Lansing Pattengill Jr. High School (1974-1983). He earned a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education at Alma College in 1973 and an Associates Degree (summa cum laude) in data processing at Lansing Community College in 1986.
