Ambrose University College Women's Basketball

Mortis has been coaching basketball for over 20 years.  Before joining the Ambrose team in 2014 he was the Head Coach of the Varsity Womens Basketball team at Bearspaw Christian School in Calgary, AB, from 2003 to 2011.  During his time spent at Bearspaw Christian, Garth worked tirelessly to develop and grow the entire basketball program for girls ranging in ages from grade 6 to 12. During his tenure, Garth developed this program to include four girls teams, as well as an annual summer camp, for which he oversaw all coaches and athlete activities.   Aside from coaching basketball, Garth works full time as a physician.  He also enjoys spending time with his family; his loving wife, his two daughters who also act as his assistant coaches, and his two granddaughters who are the Lions' biggest fans. With his family alongside him, Garth looks forward to continuing to grow the Ambrose Women's Basketball program.
