Travis McCorkle
Head Coach
McCorkle has led the Rambelles to two Lone Star Conference Championships, six straight trips to the postseason and three NCAA postseason appearances along with seven 10-plus win seasons. He directed the program to its second Lone Star Conference Championship in 2015 a. The Rambelles hosted the 2015 NCAA Division II South Central Regional Tournament for the first time in program history in 2015 after winning their first NCAA Tournament game in 2014. He was named the LSCs Coach of the Year for the third consecutive season. A Glenwood Springs, Colo. native, he has guided the Rambelles to a 91-53-14 overall record and a 51-30-10 Lone Star Conference mark at ASU. Forty-two ASU players have earned All-LSC postseason recognition, including first-team selections in by Ashley Exford, Haley Mendel and Shantel Wittke repeated in 2015. The trio was joined by Sierra Anderson in 2014 after Maggie Schaffer and Anderson earned first-team honors in the 2013 season and Brandie DeBacker in 2011. Mendel, the LSC Offensive Player of the Year, became the second player to earn All-America honors after leading ASU with 10 goals and three assists. Exford and Wittke had solid seasons and repeated as LSC Defensive and Goalkeeper of the Year. In 2014, Anderson was the first player in program history to earn all-American honors after scoring 15 goals. Schaffer, Anderson, Exford and DeBacker also received National Soccer Coaches Association of America's all-region awards. Additionally, Lauren Carnes, Megan Schaffer and DeBacker earned LSC All-Academic recognition and the ASU team was honored by the NSCAA for its academic success last season. Danielle Edwards was named the LSC's Goalkeeper of the Year in 2012. The 2015 season was capped off with the programs second Lone Star Conference title. A 1-0 win over Texas Womans clinched the title and moved McCorkle past Tom Brown as the winningest coach in school history with 91 wins. The Rambelles were one of the top teams defensively only allowing .512 goals-against average which was No. 9 nationally. Wittke had the No. 3 best save percentage at .904. The Rambelles made history in 2014 by defeating Metro State 2-0 in the first round of the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Tournament. It marked the first win in NCAA postseason history for a program that was making just its second appearance since the program began in 1996. The 2013 season was historic for the ASU soccer program as the team claimed its first conference championship since it was started in 1996. The Rambelles went 11-4-2 in the regular season, including posting a 7-2-1 conference record. That record gave them the top seed and the right to host the conference tournament for the first time. Under McCorkle's coaching, six players earned postseason conference honors with Caitlyn Conaway, Lauren Perry and Jordan Benfield taking second team honors to go along with Schaffer and Anderson earning first-team. Benfield and Trisha Killen were tabbed to the All-Academic team and McCorkle was named Co-Coach of the Year. He earned his career's 100th win with a 2-1 victory at the ASU Soccer Field over Texas A&M-Commerce on Oct. 20, 2013. McCorkle led the Rambelles to their third straight LSC tournament and an 11-7-2 record in 2012. ASU opened the tournament with a 1-0 win over Texas Woman's in the quarterfinals before falling in penalty kicks in the semifinals. The Rambelles were the top defensive team in the conference throughout the season and limited opponents to a .085 shooting percentage and to 18 goals in 20 games played in 2012. Angelo State set a single-season record for most wins (13) and most conference wins (9) in a season, while clinching their first NCAA berth in 2010 under McCorkles leadership. The Belles also earned their first postseason win in program history with a 2-0 victory over Texas A&M-Commerce at the conference tournament in 2010 before falling in penalty kicks (4-3) to the Lions in the 2011 tournament. A former ASU assistant coach from 2001-02, McCorkle returned to Angelo State in 2008 to become the fourth head coach in Rambelles history after Tom Brown accepted the same role at Sam Houston State. McCorkle was an assistant under Brown during the 2001-2002 seasons. Prior to his return to ASU, McCorkle spent five seasons as the head coach at Eastern New Mexico University. He posted a 37-34-4 overall record with the Zias after starting the program from scratch in 2003. In 2009, McCorkle led the Rambelles to a 10-9 overall record and a 4-6 mark in conference play. The season fell short of making the postseason by just one win for the second straight season. Despite four one-goal conference losses, ASU recorded its sixth 10-win season in seven years and had three players earn All-LSC honorable mention. In his first ASU campaign, McCorkle led the Rambelles to just their fifth-ever 10-win season. They finished 10-7-3, but missed the LSC tournament by just one win. One ASU player made the All-LSC second team and four received honorable mention. While at ENMU, McCorkle coached 13 All-LSC players and 29 Academic All-LSC honorees. His first season ended with a 3-12 record but built towards a 10-win season in 2005 and a LSC Tournament appearance in 2006. McCorkle also started the ENMU mens program in 2004 before handing it over to his assistant coach after the first season. Additionally, his teams were honored with National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Awards each of his five seasons. Also boasting an extensive club soccer background, McCorkle supervised the Grand Junction (Colo.) Soccer Club, spending more than six years as director of coaching and player development. During that time, he oversaw more than 1,200 players and was responsible for the overall philosophy of the club. At the high school level, McCorkle served as assistant coach of the girls (1989-94) and head coach of the boys (1990-94) soccer teams at Monument High School in Fruita, Colo. He helped led the Lady Wildcats to four conference titles and five state playoff appearances, while his boys teams claimed one conference crown and made two trips to the state playoffs. McCorkle has held a USSF A Coaching License since 1995 and earned a Youth Coaching License from the U.S. Soccer Federation in 1997. He also holds an Advanced National Coaching License from the NSCAA. He has served as a head coach in the New Mexico Olympic Development Program (ODP) from 2006-2008 and was on the Colorado ODP coaching staff from 1992-2001. He has been a member of the U.S. Soccer Coaches Organization since 1993 and the NSCAA since 1995. As a player, McCorkle founded, coached and played for the Mesa State College club team from 1987-91 and was named team MVP for the 1987-88 seasons. He earned his bachelors degree in physical education from Mesa State in 1994 and his masters degree in sport administration from the University of Northern Colorado in 2001. His wife Luanne, is a human relations specialist at Angelo State.

Harold Munoz
Assistant Coach
Coach Muñoz joined the ASU coaching staff in January 2017. He serves in all areas of the program: coaching, recruiting, game planning, scouting, and video analysis. The 2022 season saw Muñoz assist the Belles to the 1st round of the NCAA Tournament. In the fall of 2021, Muñoz helped guide the Rambelles to a Lone Star Conference Tournament Championship and a trip to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament. In the spring of 2021, Muñoz helped guide the Rambelles to a perfect 10-0 record and the Lone Star Conference Regular Season as well as Tournament Championship. The Rambelles defense only conceded two goals in the whole season. 2019 saw the Rambelles go 12-5-2 overall and 8-4-1 in conference play. In 2018, Muñoz helped guide the Belles to its first ever Lone Star Conference Tournament Championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. In 2017, Coach Muñoz helped guide ASU to a regular season Lone Star Conference Championship and a first round appearance at the NCAA Tournament. Before arriving at Angelo State, Muñoz spent one season as the head women's soccer coach at Georgia Southwestern State University. During his one season with the Division II program, Muñoz improved the team's win/loss record and also led the program to its highest scoring season in eight years. Before working at Georgia Southwestern, Muñoz was a volunteer assistant coach at Mercer from 2014 to 2016, helping lead the team to a Southern Conference Tournament Championship and a school record 14 wins in 2014. The performance earned the Bears an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Prior to his time at Mercer, Muñoz was the head men's coach in the Lone Star Conference at Eastern New Mexico. During his six seasons with the Greyhounds the team only finished with a losing record in its first year, and Muñoz won the Lone Star Conference Championship with a 9-4-5 record while setting the school record for fewest goals allowed in a season. Muñoz had worked at ENMU earlier in his career as a graduate assistant for the men's team while McCorkle was the head of both programs for the Greyhounds. Prior to being the head coach at Eastern New Mexico, Muñoz was the head women's soccer coach and the associate head women's soccer coach at NAIA member Midland University. In the 2007 season, he led the Warriors to a 13-2-4 record and earned a runner-up finish in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championship. Muñoz played collegiate soccer at William Woods University from 1998-2002 where he was a First Team All-American Midwest Conference selection. He went on to obtain a Master's of Science in Physical Education while serving as a graduate assistant coach at Eastern New Mexico. A Bogotá, Colombia native, Muñoz also played semi-professionally in the Canadian Professional Soccer League with North York Astros and in the Premier Development League with the Sioux Falls Spitfire. Muñoz currently holds a Premier Diploma as well as a Goalkeeping Level I & II diplomas from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
