Erin Livingston

Associate Head Coach

Livingston, a group that includes the 2012 MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year and three National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Region selections.   The field hockey team has also been recognized for its performance in the classroom, receiving the NFHCA Team Academic Award in each of Livingstons first seven seasons. A total of 44 student-athletes have been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Honor Roll a combined 73 times, with a total of four Academic All-Conference honorees since the program's inception in 2013.   Livingston has built the program into a conference championship contender after inheriting a team that won just five games prior to her arrival. The Knights turned things around quickly, going 9-9 in just her second season in 2010 to snap a string of seven straight losing seasons. Arcadia was 15-6 in 2014, tying the program record for wins in a season, and captured the MAC Commonwealth regular season title with a 6-1 league record. The Knights would earn their second straight ECAC tournament berth as the No. 5 seed, and advanced to the title game for the first time in program history. Livingtons was named MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year for the second time, while six individuals earned a spot on the All-MAC Commonwealth team. That group included Taylor Dalisera, who was named a Second-Team NFHCA All-Region selection.   Arcadia went 15-6 overall in 2012, and qualified for the conference tournament for the first time since 2002. It was the programs first tournament appearance as a member of the Commonwealth Conference. The fourth-seeded Knights won a 6-2 first round match against fifth-seeded Stevenson University before dropping a 3-2 semifinal match at top-seeded Messiah College. Livingston was named the 2012 Commonwealth Conference Coach of the Year, while five Arcadia student-athletes were named to the All-Commonwealth Conference Team.  The Knights were the most improved team in all of Division III, having won just six games the year before, and was the NCAA Division III Statistical Champion in penalty corners per game.   The Knights went 14-7 in 2013 and recorded a program-best third-place finish in the Commonwealth Conference with a 6-2 league record. Arcadia qualified for the conference tournament for the second consecutive season before making its first-ever Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Mid-Atlantic Region Championship appearance. The Knights once again had five All-Commonwealth Conference selections, with one First-Team honoree.   Livingston also served as Head Womens Lacrosse Coach at Arcadia for five seasons from 2011-15. She has guided that program to an overall record of 60-33 (.645), making her the all-time winningest coach in program history. The Knights won the 2014 MAC Freedom regular season and tournament titles as the Knights won a school-record 18 games and made their first-ever trip to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. Livingston was been named the MAC Freedom Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2014. She also holds additional responsibilities within Arcadias athletic department as an Assistant Athletic Director, which includes the role of Senior Woman Administrator.   Prior to joining Arcadia, Livingston served as a graduate assistant for field hockey at Kean University. She helped to guide the Cougars to a 36-18 overall mark, including a record-breaking 17-win season in 2008 that included winning the ECAC Mid-Atlantic title. Livingston also served as an assistant with Keans softball (2009) and womens lacrosse (2006) programs. She served as the head softball coach at NCAA Division II Holy Family University in 2010, leading the Tigers to an overall record of 24-23 that included an 18-9 record in conference play, and served as assistant softball coach during 2005 campaign at Philadelphia University.   Livingston was a member of the field hockey and softball teams at NCAA Division II Kutztown University. A three-year starter on defense for the field hockey team, she holds the Golden Bears career record for defensive saves with 23 and was twice named a NFHCA All-American, earning First-Team honors in 2004 after being named a Second-Team selection in 2003. Livingston excelled off the field as well, being named to the NFHCA All-Academic Squad in 2003 and in 2005 being named Kutztowns Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year.   Livingston earned her bachelors degree in elementary education with a concentration in coaching and mathematics from Kutztown in 2005 and earned her masters degree in counseling from Kean in 2009.
