Brett Polow
Head Coach
Polow was named the first ever Head Women's Soccer Coach in the Fall of 2012. In his first two seasons at the helm of the program, Polow has the Lady Avengers to an 18-5 overall record in the two seasons (2012-2013) of the program's existence. ASA has reached the Region-XV Division I Championship match in both years since the program's inception. Coach Polow came to ASA with a wealth of junior college and youth coaching experience. Highlights of his four years as an NJCAA assistant mens & head womens coach include reaching the 2011 NJCAA Womens National Championship game, producing an NJCAA All-American and Academic Award recipient, earning Region XV Coach of the Year honors and winning a pair of Region XV championships. In addition to coaching in the junior college ranks, Coach Polow also spent time as a lead coach at the New York Red Bulls Youth Development Academy, and as a Goalkeepers Coach within the Regional Development Schools (RDS) system. Polow had an extraordinary collegiate career during his time at the University of Rochester. As a Yellow Jacket, Polow earned several University Athletic Association honors, including an All-UAA First Team selection as a senior in 1997 and UAA Athlete of the Week nine times during his career. His 33-11-8 career record helped Rochester win two UAA championship and NCAA Division III tournament berths (1993 & 1997). Polow was the first goalkeeper to finish a conference season undefeated and untied and he holds Rochester single season records for shutouts (11) and goals against average (.39). Coach Polow graduated with a Bachelors in both Political Science & Philosophy. Brett is a USSF nationally licensed coach and he resides in Manhattan, NY.
