Jeremy Wilk
Assistant Coach
Wilk, a native of Wood Dale, Ill., enters his third year with Ashland University. Wilk graduated from Division II Grand Valley State University in 2014 with a double major in Finance and Marketing. There, he was a two-time All-American, and is the current school record holder in the outdoor 800-meter run (1:49.40). In his first year at AU, he helped guide the mens cross country team to a berth at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships, where they placed 10th. Later that season, indoors, the Ashland men placed fourth and the women tied for third. Outdoors, the Ashland men finished third and the women placed seventh. These finishes were good for a third-place finish in the Program of the Year standings for the men. In 2015-16, Ashland's men's track team finished 10th at indoor nationals and tied for ninth at outdoor nationals. Wilk has experience under two award-winning coaches in his time with the sport. He ran under Jerry Baltes, Division II Womens Program of the Year namesake and multiple-time coach of the year. He further honed his skills under 2013-14 NCAA Division II Assistant Coach of the year, Trent Mack, at Ashland in 2014-15. In addition to coaching, Wilk continues to train and has further improved his marks since moving to Ashland. He qualified for and competed at the 2015 USATF Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 1,000-meter run, placing 12th.

Tom Scott
Coach
Scott, a 2012 Ashland University graduate, is in his second season after returning to campus to become the Eagles' head men's and women's cross country coach and assistant men's and women's track and field coach. Prior to returning to AU, Scott was a graduate assistant for Michigan Tech's cross country and track and field programs for two seasons. During his time with the Huskies, the men's cross country program improved from 12th to fifth in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while earning its best-ever finish (eighth) at the Midwest Region meet. He also coached Tech's first NCAA cross country qualifier in 16 years. Scott also coached the fourth track All-American in school history. In two seasons, 15 Tech distance records were broken. During his athletic career as an Eagle, Scott was a three-time All-American (twice in the 800-meter run and once as part of the 4x400-meter relay), and earned 2011 Midwest Region Track Athlete of the Year honors. He also was a 2012 Academic All-American. Scott continues to train, and recently ran a PR of 1:47.93 in the 800. He also placed ninth at the USATF Indoor Championships in the 1,000. As part of Scott's coaching history, he has guided two USATF Junior National qualifiers - one in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and one in the 10k. Scott earned his degree in biology and psychology from Ashland, and landed on the Dean's List four times.
