Head Coach
In 2024-25, Assumption University won the NCAA East Regional Championship for the first time in 50 years. The Greyhounds beat No. 2 St. Thomas Aquinas College 97-90 while never relinquishing their lead. Coach Faucher's team entered as the No. 6 seed, marking the program's 28th appearance in the National Dance and the first since 2012-2013. The historic Hounds season came to an end in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight to eventual National Champion, Nova Southeastern University. After Coach Faucher's most successful season, Assumption men's basketball had the highest scoring offense in the Northeast-10 (80.4 PPG), and ranking 8th nationally in bench points (36.93 PPG). Assumption men's basketball finished the season with 22-10, with a 14-6 record when facing NE10 opponents. In 2022-23, the Greyhounds had a 14-14 overall record while going 10-10 in conference. They were once again stronger while playing in Worcester, going 8-4 at home. After defeating Pace University at home, Assumption won nine of their last 11 games. One of those wins included an upset over the eventual champions, the University of New Haven, 65-64 at Laska Gymnasium. They also defeated Saint Anselm College to a packed crowd at home and beat Southern Connecticut State University at the end of the year to solidify their place in the tournament. Isiah Gaiter was named to the Northeast-10 All Conference First Team, while Kani Glover found a spot on the All-NE10 Defensive Team. After the COVID year, Faucher returned for the 2021-22 season and led the Hounds to a 12-13 record while going 7-12 in conference. Once again they defended home court well, going 7-4 at home. Late wins in the season secured post season play for the Hounds, including a 78-76 victory on the road vs Franklin Pierce. In the First Round of the Northeast-10 Championship, Assumption defeated Adelphi 80-69. Scott Faucher was named the 17th head coach of the Assumption men’s basketball program on May 14, 2019. Faucher comes to Assumption from Nichols College following a record-breaking season with the Bison. In his first year with the Greyhounds, he had an impressive year guiding the Blue and White to a 14-12 record while going 8-11 in conference play. They played exceptional at Laska Gymnasium going 10-4. They began the season with three straight wins against the likes of New York Tech, Caldwell, and Concordia. they ended the season strongly as well, winning three of their last four. They picked up a 84-81 victory over Bentley University in overtime as well as a 84-73 win over Franklin Pierce on Senior Day. PLAYING CAREER Played for Wheaton College, appearing in 98 games during his career (28 starts) PERSONAL A native of Lebanon, N.H., Faucher received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2013 from Wheaton (MA) College. He is also the son of former Dartmouth College head coach Dave Faucher, who served as the head coach of the Big Green from 1991-2004. Andrew Bronstein
Associate Head Coach
After helping guide Assumption to the 2025 NCAA Division II East Regional Championship and an Elite Eight appearance, Andrew Bronstein was promoted to Associate Head Coach of the Greyhounds men’s basketball program. A key member of the coaching staff since 2021, Bronstein has been instrumental in developing one of the Northeast-10’s most dynamic and efficient offenses. In 2025, the Greyhounds went 22-10 and led the NE10 in points per game, offensive rebounds, bench points, and fast break scoring. Bronstein oversees offensive strategy, play calling, scouting, and analytics, while also spearheading recruiting and player development — producing multiple All-Conference, All-Defensive, and All-Rookie Team honorees. During the 2024 season, he briefly served as Interim Head Coach and guided the team to an NE10 Quarterfinal berth. Before joining Assumption, Bronstein spent the 2020–21 season at Wheaton College (MA) and gained professional experience with the Washington Wizards as a Basketball Operations Intern. A former four-year starter and two-time captain at Salve Regina University, Bronstein ranks fifth all-time in career assists and was a two-time NABC Honors Court selection. He earned his MBA from Assumption University and also coached with the Middlesex Magic AAU program on the HoopGroup Circuit.
