Augsburg University Women's Basketball

Jill Woodrow (Augsburg '15), a former women's basketball player for the Auggies, returned to the campus to serve as an assistant coach in 2017, and is in her second stint on the Auggie coaching staff. She served as an assistant coach from 2017-23 under Ted Riverson, then returned to Mallie Doucette's staff in the 2024-25 campaign. Playing Experience/Achievements Woodrow (nee Tichy) was a two-year-starter at Augsburg under the late Bill McKee, after transferring from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where she played her first two seasons under coach Mark Thomas. During her two years at Augsburg, she started in all 50 games, scoring a total of 580 points, with 49 blocks, 199 rebounds and 105 assists. She earned All-MIAC and All-MIAC Academic Honors her senior year (2013-14); and is listed in many record categories for Augsburg women’s basketball. Woodrow participated in basketball, volleyball and softball at Minnetonka High School (’10) where she earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors in basketball. She also has been coaching both AAU and traveling girls’ basketball for several years, from eighth- to 11th-graders, and has worked with the National Basketball Academy with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx.
