Steve Webb

Head Coach

Webb  (Florida State '07) will be entering his third season as the Augsburg College women's swimming and diving head coach in 2015-16. He also serves the college working with concessions and merchandising for the athletic department. Augsburg Coaching Highlights: 2013-15 -  Webb led the team to its highest finish in program history, amassing 115 points at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships in 2014. Then during the 2015 MIAC championships, Webb led the team to its second-best finish in school history. The team broke 27 school records over the past two seasons, while also having both a swimmer and diver score points in all their events at the conference championships. The team also excelled in the classroom, earning Scholar All-American swimming and diving team honors in both the fall and spring semesters. The team also had its first CoSIDA Academic All-American in Elianna Bier, who also earned Academic All-Region accolades. Previous Coaching Experience: Graduate Fellow Augsburg College (2012-13), led the team to nine school records Head Boy's Coach - East Ridge High School (2011-13), 17-1 dual meet record, Suburban East Conference championship in 2012 and placed sixth at the 2012 State Meet. Head Girl's Coach - Mounds View High School (2010-13), finished in the top-7 in four straight Minnesota True Team state meets. Club Coaching - Webb served a coach for club teams in Florida, Wisconsin and Minnesota, including a stint as head coach at Hudson (Wis.) High School (2009-10). At Hudson, his team finished third at the 2009 sectional meet, sending five swimmers to the 2009 Wisconsin state championships.  Playing Experience/Achievements: Webb competed collegiately at the Division I level at St. Louis University (2002-03) and at Florida State University (2003-04). At St. Louis, he set school records in the 1,000-yard freestyle and the 1,650-yard freestyle, and was an A-finalist at the Conference USA Championships. Personal/Family Notes: Steve is married to Tjersti Webb '07. They reside in Plymouth, Minn., with their dog Charlea and their son Steven Webb III. Nora Stauber

Assistant Coach

Stauber  (Minnesota State Mankato '14) will serve as Augsburg's interim head coach for women's swimming and diving in the 2016-17 season. A former NCAA Division II varsity swimmer, Stauber served as an assistant coach and graduate fellow in 2015-16. Previous Coaching Experience: Staff Coach - Duluth YMCA Northern Swim Team - 2014-2015. Camp Counselor, coach, instructor - Maverick Swim Lesson Program - 2010-2014.   Playing Career/Achievements: Stauber graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2014 with a bachelors of science degree in Sport Management. She competed for four seasons on the Maverick swimming and diving team while earning a spot on the conference team each season. Stauber competed in sprint freestyle events for the Mavericks and was named a team captain for the 2013-2014 season.   Personal: Stauber is currently pursuing an master of arts degree in Leadership through Augsburg. She currently resides in Plymouth, Minn.  Nora Stauber Swimming and Diving Interim Head Coach (Graduate Fellow) Hermantown, Minn.
