Head Coach

Jerry Olszewski enters his 14th season as the Augustana head football coach in 2026 as a four-time NSIC Coach of the Year. Entering his 18th season overall as a head coach, Coach Olszewski owns a career record of 123-65 while owning a 91-46 record in 12 completed seasons at Augustana. He was named the 21st head coach in school history on Dec. 12, 2012, after five seasons as the head coach at St. Olaf in Northfield, Minnesota. In 2025, the Vikings weathered adversity on their way to a 9-2 record. AU reached the top-five of the AFCA Coaches Poll for the first time in program history and tied a program-record with nine wins to open the season. 11 Vikings earned All-NSIC honors, two were named All-Region and kicker/punter Jake Pecina was named to the CSC Academic All-America Second Team.  The Vikings continued their ascent in 2024 when he led AU to its second consecutive outright conference championship, the first time the program has seen back-to-back conference titles since 1941-42. He was named AFCA Region 5 Coach of the Year and NSIC Coach of the Year honors after going 8-3 in the regular season and became the program's all-time winningest coach in a win at Minnesota State on Oct. 26. The Vikings reached the NCAA Division II Playoffs for the fifth time in his tenure.  Olszewski helped bring the the Vikings to new heights in 2023, leading AU to its first outright conference championship since 1959. He earned NISC Coach of the Year honors and led the team to an 11-2 record, tied for the most wins in program history. He picked up his 100th career win this season in the 20-point victory over Sioux Falls on Sept. 30 and guided AU to the NCAA Division II Playoffs for the fourth time in program history. Four Vikings earned All-America honors while 19 earned All-NSIC honors. The 2022 season saw Augustana complete a 7-4 record while Grayson Diepenbrock and Eli Weber earned Second Team AFCA All-America honors. Diepenbrock broke the single-season and career records for sacks with 10.5 in 2022 and 26 total for his career. Augustana totaled eight All-NSIC honorees while Blake Larson saw his name on the D2football Elite 100 list along with Weber. Olszewski led Augustana to its first outright conference championship in 62 years in the 2021 season and a 9-2 NSIC mark. The Vikings claimed the NSIC South Division and ended the season with its second-straight unblemished record on its home turf in the regular season. Augustana advanced to the NCAA Division II Playoffs for the second-straight year. Defensive back Peyton Buckley was named the NSIC Defensive Newcomer of the Year while Logan Swanson was named an AFCA Second Team All-America honoree. In addition, Kyle Saddler and Blake Larson earned an honorable mention to the Don Hansen All-America Teams. Consistent with academics, Olszewski saw three student-athletes named CoSIDA Academic All-America in Eli Weber, Luke Fritsch and T.J. Liggett. During the COVID-19 canceled season of 2020, Olszewski oversaw a roster that produced a pair of Academic All-America honorees in Eli Weber and Luke Fritsch. In addition, T.J. Liggett earned an All-District honor from CoSIDA.  The 2019 season saw Coach Olszewski become just the second coach in Augustana history to guide the Vikings to more than one playoff appearance as AU tallied a 9-3 overall record and a trip to the NCAA Playoffs. Named the NSIC Coach of the Year, the Vikings recorded an unblemished record at home while the nine wins were the second-most in program history.   He oversaw the ascension of Jake Lacina, who became Augustana’s first-ever Rimington Trophy award winner, given annually to the nation’s top center. Lacina also earned First Team All-America honors from the AFCA and Don Hansen Football Gazette along with second team honors from D2Football.com. Joining Lacina on an All-America list was sophomore Luis Guarita who earned an honorable mention on the Don Hansen squad.   The Vikings saw 12 players honored by the NSIC including four first-team selections.   Off the playing surface, former Viking Kirby Hora was honored as the NCAA Today’s Top-10 award winner in Jan. 2020, following his decorated career with Augustana which concluded in 2018.   Coach Olszewski led the Vikings to unprecedented heights in 2018, bringing home the program’s first-ever 6-0 road record. With a perfect road mark, Augustana set a school and tied an NSIC record for conference victories on the road.   After securing a 7-4 record in 2018, the Vikings saw 12 student-athletes earn NSIC South Division All-Conference honors, including four standouts on the first team. The Vikings also excelled in the classroom with 27 student-athletes earning academic All-NSIC honors.   Following a 4-7 season in Olszewski’s first year at Augustana (2013), he put the program on the upward swing leading the Vikings to a 6-5 mark in 2014, followed by a 9-3 record and a playoff appearance in 2015.   Historically, Olszewski’s squad has set the bar high on the offensive side of the field. Under Olszewski, Augustana has a history of setting school records beginning in 2014 with 5,124 yards of total offense, followed by 5,527 yards of total offense in 2015 and raising the bar even higher with 5,617 yards in 2016.   Behind the arm of 2016 Harlon Hill Finalist and two-time NSIC Offensive Player of the Year, Trey Heid, Augustana set single-season records for passing yards with 3,603 in 2015 before he raised it to 3,786 yards in 2016. The Vikings scored 65 total touchdowns in 2016, a new single-season record after putting up 64 touchdowns in 2015.   2017 saw the Vikings land two individual All-American honors in linebacker Kirby Hora and offensive lineman Sam Lee. A D2Football.com All-American and CCA All-Super Region 4 selection, Hora led the NSIC with 129 total tackles, including a 21-tackle effort against MSU Moorhead in the season opener, which tied the school's single-game record. Lee, who was named a D2Football.com All-American and an AFCA Second Team All-American, started all 11 games as a senior in 2017 on the offensive line, anchoring a Vikings offense that posted 1,674 rushing yards and 2,069 yards through the air.   In 2016, senior quarterback Trey Heid became just the third player in program history to earn First Team All-America honors from the American Football Coaches’ Association. Heid set single-season records in passing yards (3,582) and passing touchdowns (41) in 2016 and became Augustana’s all-time leader in passing yards (11,476), passing touchdowns (105) and total offense yards (13,235). He also ended his career as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference all-time leader in passing touchdowns (104) and total offense (13,019) in 43 career conference games.   Augustana had three players earn All-America honors in 2016. Senior wide receiver Matt Heller was named to three All-America teams, including the Associated Press Little All-America First Team. Heller set a single-season record with 1,490 receiving yards while hauling in a single-season record 21 touchdown catches. Both marks ranked second in the country. Bryson Hamilton was the third Viking to earn All-America honors in 2016. Hamilton earned All-NSIC First Team honors at defensive end after recording 44 tackles and a career-high seven sacks before missing the last two games of the year due to injury.   Hamilton was also one of two Vikings to be awarded nationally for academics in 2016. Hamilton and Hora were named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America team after both earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors.   Olszewski led Augustana to a 9-3 record and its fourth NCAA Playoff appearance in program history in 2015. The nine-win season marked just the second season with nine or more wins in Augustana’s 96-year football history. Olszewski’s squad finished with a 6-1 record in divisional play in 2015, which earned the Vikings a share of the NSIC South Division Championship.   After a breakout sophomore campaign in 2014, quarterback Trey Heid found another level in 2015 and was named the NSIC’s Offensive Player of the Year. Heid is the first Viking football student-athlete to be named Player of the Year by the NSIC. He ranked second in the NSIC in passing yards tossing for a then single-season record 3,493 yards to go along with 29 touchdown passes.   Augustana had 15 players earn All-NSIC South Division honors in 2015, including seven first-team selections. Augustana also had four players earn Conference Commissioner’s Association All-Central Region honors. Charlie Hayes and Brian Long were both named to the CCA All-Central Region First Team.   Linebacker Brandon Mohr was selected to the All-NSIC South Division team for the third-straight season in 2015, earning first-team honors. He led the team with 97 tackles and finished his career with 331 tackles, the sixth-most all-time amongst NSIC players. Jamal Samaha tied the single-season sack record with eight on the season and finished the year with a team-high 10.5 tackles for loss. Samaha also tied a single-game record at Augustana with three sacks against Southwest Minnesota State on Oct. 3, 2015.   Heid had a breakout sophomore campaign in 2014 finishing with 25 touchdown passes while throwing just four interceptions (fewest amongst all starting quarterbacks in the NSIC). Heid passed for 2,564 yards and tossed two or more touchdowns in eight of 10 games, including six against Wayne State on Oct. 19, which tied a single-game record at Augustana. Heid also tied an NCAA record for touchdown passes in a quarter in that game, throwing five of his six touchdowns in the second quarter alone.   Augustana had nine players earn All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference honors, including first-team linebacker Ben Skelly. Skelly recorded 90 tackles for the second-straight season, including a team-high nine tackles for loss and three sacks. Skelly was invited to play in the National Bowl in 2014, a showcase of seniors from around the nation representing Division II, Division III and NAIA schools. The Viking football program had 16 players named Academic All-NSIC in 2014.   Olszewski began his tenure at Augustana in 2013 with a 41-28 win over MSU Moorhead in the season opener at Kirkeby-Over Stadium. Augustana posted a 4-2 record in home games during Olszewski’s first season while allowing just 14.2 points per game at KO Stadium.   Six Viking players earned All-NSIC honors in Olszewski’s first season, including two first-team selections in defensive lineman Jake Lee and linebacker Ben Skelly. Augustana also had 12 players earn Academic All-NSIC honors in 2013.   Before his appointment at St. Olaf, Olszewski was the defensive coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for two seasons (2006-2008). He served two terms on the staff at Minnesota State (1993-1997 and 1999-2002).   He was with the Green Bay Bombers of the Indoor Football League as the offensive coordinator and special teams coordinator for one season (1998-99) and served one year as a defensive line coach at California Lutheran University (1997-98).   Away from coaching, Olszewski was the athletic director and dean of students for the Little Chute (Wisconsin) School District (1998-99) and chief executive officer of the Mankato Family YMCA (2002-2006).   Olszewski earned his bachelor’s degree at Wisconsin-Stevens Point (1993) and a master’s degree from Minnesota State-Mankato (1995).   He earned All-Wisconsin State University Conference honors as a defensive back at Stevens Point and led the league in interceptions (1990).   An active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for more than 20 years, Olszewski’s community service also includes Special Olympics, YMCA volunteer, church youth leader, MS Walk coordinator and school district volunteer.   He and his wife, Deana, are the parents of one son Jett, and two daughters, Jersey and Jaye.

Joe Nordin

A 2009 graduate a former team captain for Augustana, Joe Nordin has held several roles on the Vikings coaching, currently serving as the kicking coach since 2018. In 2025, the Vikings weathered adversity on their way to a 9-2 record. AU reached the top-five of the AFCA Coaches Poll for the first time in program history and tied a program-record with nine wins to open the season. 11 Vikings earned All-NSIC honors, two were named All-Region and kicker/punter Jake Pecina was named to the CSC Academic All-America Second Team.  The Vikings have earned three NSIC titles during Nordin's tenure. Jake Pecina was named an All-NSIC First Team kicker in 2023 and 2024 while Avery Book was an All-American punter in 2023.    Nordin was a graduate assisting with Augustana for the 2010 and 2011 seasons, working with running backs and kickers while also serving as a student assistant in the 2008 season.   Sandwiched between his first two stints with Augustana, Nordin was a graduate assistant at Tiffin University working with the defensive line and kickers.   A native of Lake Lillian, Minnesota, Nordin was the Vikings punter for four seasons and was named the NCC Special Teams Player of the Week on five occasions. He served as team captain in 2007, his senior season. He garnered his degree in elementary education from Augustana in 2009.

Andrew Loudenback

Coach

Andrew Loudenback was named offensive coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach of the Vikings in February 2024 after spending a season at FCS San Diego. In his first season with the Vikings, AU weathered adversity on its way to a 9-2 record in 2026. AU reached the top-five of the AFCA Coaches Poll for the first time in program history and tied a program-record with nine wins to open the season. Loudenback had a pair of quarterbacks perform as Gunnar Hensley and freshman Rich Lucero Jr., combined as one of the most efficient passing attacks in the country. The offense was the second-best red zone offense in the country and was a top-20 team on third down.    Loudenback took over as running backs coach for the 2024 season at USD where he coached two running backs that ranked in the top 10 in the Pioneer Football League. The Toreros rotated four running backs throughout the season, accounting for 1,522 rushing yards.  He also assisted in the passing game plan that saw the offense transform. Their quarterback finished 11th in the country in passing touchdowns with 27, 12 more than the season before, and was a part of an 8-3 record, doubling the win total from the season before.  Prior to joining the Toreros, Loudenback was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Henderson State. He transformed the HSU offense into the top passing offense in the GAC in 2023 with 248.6 aerial yards per game. As an entire unit, the Reddies owned the league's fourth best scoring offense (34.9 ppg) and total offense (432.4 ypg). Quarterback Andrew Edwards delivered one of the best sophomore seasons in program history under Loudenback's tutelage during the 2023 campaign. Edwards closed the year with the seventh most passing yards in a single season at HSU (2,979), sixth most offensive yards (3,408) and the fifth most passing touchdowns (28). The 2023 All-GAC Second Team selection also added 10 rushing scores on the year. For the 2022 season, Loudenback coached HSU's third consecutive First Team All-Region recipient at the position and had a receiver named a 2022 unanimous First Team All-Conference selection on top of the All-Region nod. The Reddies' passing attack was ranked third in the Great American Conference at 235.4 yards per game.  Loudenback went to Henderson State from Dakota State University, where he served as the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks/Running Backs Coach during the 2021-22 season. Loudenback also worked as the recruiting coordinator with DSU, recruiting western South Dakota, Colorado, North Dakota and Dallas, Texas. Prior to his time at Dakota St., Loudenback worked at Saint Cloud State University, Colorado School of Mines and Maryville State University from 2018-2021. While at CSofM in 2019 as the Wide Receivers and Tight Ends Coach, the Orediggers were ranked No. 8 nationally in total offense and scoring offense, capturing a 12-1 season as they were crowned RMAC Conference Champions and made a trip to the second round of the playoffs.  While at Mayville St. as the Offensive Coordinator and the Quarterbacks Coach during the 2020-21 season, the Comets were ranked fifth nationally in NAIA in passing yards per game - No. 1 in the North Star Conference. MSU was also ranked 17th nationally in the NAIA in yards per game (384).   Loudenback earned his Bachelors of Science in Business Information and Technology Management in May of 2017 from Montana Tech of the University of Montana before getting his Masters of Science in Leadership in Physical Education and Sport from North Dakota State University in 2022. Loudenback and his wife, Maggie, have two twin daughters, Quinn and Jaycee, as well as a son, Taysom.

Chase King

Recruiting Area: Minnesota Chase King joined the Augustana coaching staff in 2013 after spending time on Jerry Olszewski's staff at St. Olaf. King is the linebackers coach and camp coordinator for the Viking football program. Prior to the 2022 season, King was named the Special Teams Coordinator. In 2025, the Vikings weathered adversity on their way to a 9-2 record. AU reached the top-five of the AFCA Coaches Poll for the first time in program history and tied a program-record with nine wins to open the season. The Vikings finished No. 18 nationally in third-down defense. On special teams, the Vikings allowed just 12.8 yards per return, a number that ranked third in DII and 12th across all of the NCAA. Isaiah Huber was also an All-NSIC First Team return man.  In 2024, King helped lead the Vikings to another NSIC Championship. Haden Wallace was named to the All-NSIC First Team and CCA Super Region Four Second Team while Kade Lynott joined him on the All-NSIC First Team. On special teams, Isaiah Huber was an All-NSIC First Team return specialist and named to the CCA Super Region Four Second Team.  King helped coach the Vikings to an NSIC Championship in 2023. He was in charge of a special teams unit that touted the Don Hansen Specialist of the Year in Devon Jones and a linebacking corp that had an All-NSIC First Teamer in Haden Wallace and All-NSIC Second Teamer Kade Lynott.   For the third-straight season, T.J. Liggett earned All-NSIC honors, this time after compiling 81 tackles, 50 of which were solo. After the canceled 2020 season, King coach T.J. Liggett to First Team All-NSIC South Division honors in 2021. In addition, he coached a defensive group that led the nation in rushing defense at just 41.8 yards per game.    King coached part of a defensive unit that led the NSIC in four categories in 2019 including fewest touchdowns allowed. T.J. Liggett earned second-team all-NSIC honors after proving to be a turnover machine, forcing three fumbles and recovering two. The Vikings ranked eighth in the nation in turnovers gained.   Augustana tallied a 9-3 record, the second-most wins in a season in program history in the 2019 season. Head coach Jerry Olszewski was named the NSIC Coach of the Year as the Vikings finished the year with a 6-0 mark inside Kirkeby-Over Stadium.   Kirby Hora concluded his outstanding career in 2018 earning first-team all-NSIC South Division honors and third-team defense on the Don Hansen Super Region Four team. Hora ranked fifth in the league with 97 tackles and added 11 tackles for a loss.   In 2017, Hora concluded the season as the NSIC tackles leader, earning first-team all-league honors and a pair of All-America accolades. Hora totaled 129 tackles, an average of 11.7 per game. He posted double-digit tackles in seven of the Vikings’ 11 games including a 21-tackle effort against MSU Moorhead in the season opener. That mark tied the school’s single-game record.   Augustana’s defense ranked fifth in the high-scoring NSIC in 2016, holding opponents to 26.5 points per game. Augustana finished the year forcing 14 turnovers and recording 26 sacks, marking the second-straight season with 20-plus sacks.   Four defensive players earned All-NSIC honors in 2016, including first-team selections Bryson Hamilton and Hora.   King helped coach an Augustana defense that forced 23 turnovers in 2015. Senior safety Chad Curry earned All-NSIC South Division First Team honors under King’s watch. Curry ranked fourth on the team with 72 tackles (36 solo) and finished tied for second on the team with two interceptions. Following the season, Curry was named to the Don Hansen All-Central Region Third Team.   Justin Brown, who played in 10 of 12 games, led the team with three interceptions to go along with 16 tackles. Garrett Earl played in just six games after suffering a broken foot. Earl finished the year with 17 tackles. Sophomore Trevor Naasz had another strong season for the Vikings at free safety. Naasz finished fifth on the team with 68 tackles (38 solo) and recorded one interception.   King rotated in a large number of players in 2015 with six underclassmen all seeing significant field time in 2015. Cornerback Jordan Johnson recorded 39 tackles, including 3.0 tackles for loss, to go along with one interception and eight pass breakups. Anthony Tatum played in 11 of 12 games in 2015 and recorded 26 tackles and two interceptions. Keyvion Mayhan played in all 12 games making 30 tackles (4.0 tackles for loss) and Jordan Determan appeared in 11 games making 19 tackles.      King coached a young group of tight ends in 2014 that included just one senior. Nick Lee hauled in 16 passes for 231 yards and paved the way for junior Jake Bartscher and sophomores Jordan Meyer and Nate Winter in 2015.      A native of Gridley, Calif., King earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing communications from California Lutheran University in 2008. He completed work on a master’s degree in business administration (marketing) from CLU in 2011.   King was a three-year starter at linebacker for CLU and helped the Kingsmen to the 2007 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship. He was a three-time Academic All-SCIAC selection.   At St. Olaf, he coached one All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference second-team performer and three honorable mention choices. In 2012, the Oles’ pass defense ranked 15th nationally in NCAA Division III.   King and his wife, Jill, reside in Sioux Falls and have a daughter, Lily.

Brayden Kearsley

Brayden Kearsley joined the Augustana football staff in 2024 as the offensive line coach. He joined Jerry Olszewski’s staff after spending the 2023 season at Brigham Young University. In 2025, the Vikings weathered adversity on their way to a 9-2 record. AU reached the top-five of the AFCA Coaches Poll for the first time in program history and tied a program-record with nine wins to open the season. Stylz Blackmon was an All-Region selection and Corbin Wirkus was named to the All-NSIC second team after protecting one of the most efficient offenses in the country.  In his first season at Augustana, Kearsley helped lead the Vikings to an NSIC Championship. He helped mentor a trio of All-NSIC performers in C.J. James (First Team), Brock Fox (First Team) and Corbin Wirkus (Second Team). The offensive line protected a rushing attack that touted the Offensive Player of the Year and an efficient quarterback that was sacked less than 1.4 times per game.    While at BYU, Kearsley served as an offensive line graduate assistant where he communicated the front, blitz and stunts to the offensive line coach. He oversaw all pass-pro individual drills for a team that ranked 28th in the nation in pass protection.   Prior to BYU, he spent the 2022 season as an offensive line graduate assistant at Oklahoma State where he helped lead the scout team at practice. He led daily scout team meetings and held press box communication duties on gamedays.   He helped the Cowboys earn a spot in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.   Kearsley also held positions at North Dakota, Southwestern Oklahoma State and Independence Community College.   As a student-athlete, Kearsley spent two years at BYU where he played as a true freshman and sophomore including a start his freshman season. He then went to Oregon State where he served as the backup center.   He garnered his degree in interdisciplinary studies from Southwestern Oklahoma State.

Brock Enderson

Recruiting Areas: North Dakota, Kansas City Metro Brock Enderson joined the Augustana football staff prior to the 2021 season. In his first year, Enderson helped AU to the NSIC Championship. In 2025, the Vikings weathered adversity on their way to a 9-2 record. AU reached the top-five of the AFCA Coaches Poll for the first time in program history and tied a program-record with nine wins to open the season. Klayton Sattler was named to the All-NSIC Second Team after catching 24 passes for 314 yards and six touchdowns in seven games. His group also helped in the red zone, finishing as the second-most efficient red zone offense in the country.  The 2024 season saw a third NSIC Championship in Enderson's tenure. In 2023, Enderson helped lead the Vikings to an NSIC title and coached a Second Team All-NSIC honoree and NSIC Elite 18 award winner in Mitchell Goodbary.    The 2022 season saw Enderson coach Goodbary to All-NSIC honors with 19 pass receptions and 220 yards receiving at the tight end position.   As part of that 2021 NSIC Championship season, Goodbary also earned All-NSIC accolades.   He came to Augustana after serving as the defensive coordinator and a position coach at Hamlin High School from 2014 to 2020. While at Hamlin, he helped win a State Championship.  He also served as a student and teacher assistant for the Scouting Academy where he was able to attend the Senior Bowl for the live classroom event.  Enderson garnered his bachelor's degree in physical education: coaching of sport from Southwest Minnesota State in 2015. He resides in Sioux Falls with his wife, Brandi, daughter Haven, and son Kollin.

Paddy Devlin

Coach

Paddy Devlin was added to the Augustana coaching staff in the spring of 2026.  Devlin spent four seasons as an assistant coach at SMSU. There, he served as wide receivers coach and film coordinator while helping as an assistant passing game coordinator. He led receiver meetings, film breakdowns and analysis and assisted in gameplanning.  In 2025, Devlin mentored wide receiver Colin Maher to All-NSIC second team honors after ranking sixth in the NSIC in receiving yards and ninth in receptions. His group also excelled in the classroom as Tryg Auten earned CSC Academic All-District honors and four Mustang receivers were named Academic All-NSIC.  Devlin was a four-year member of the SMSU football team from 2018-21 after transferring from South Dakota State. He caught 18 passes for 197 yards and one touchdown during his senior season in 2021. He has his bachelor of science from Southwest Minnesota State University.

Mike Bond

Mike Bond was added to the Augustana coaching staff in the spring of 2026.  Bond was with the Golden Bears for nine seasons as a defensive backs coach, assistant recruiting coordinator and defensive passing game coordinator. Last season, his group touted a pair of defenders that ranked in the top-15 in the NSIC for pass deflections and two of his recruits were named All-NSIC Second Team.  He also spent the summer of 2025 with the Kansas City Chiefs as their Bill Walsh Minority Coaching Fellow. With the Chiefs, Bond was included in full-staff and defensive meetings where they focused on install schedules, teaching progressions and scheme introductions. With the defense, he broke down practice film and charted turnovers and pass deflections while tracking rep counts and participation periods. He also organized the scour offensive looks and passing concept for defensive preparation.  He has two years of prep football coaching experience, spending the 2015 and 2016 seasons on the staff at Menomonie High School. Bond's background transcends the football field, having earned a master of science degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2017 with an emphasis in AODA and child/adolescence counseling. He earned a bachelor's degree in vocational rehabilitation with an emphasis in mental health and recreational rehabilitation from UW-Stout, as well. While earning his degree at UW-Stout, Bond earned three varsity letters for the football program where he was a standout defensive back with 11 career pass breakups, three interceptions and 58 total tackles (4.0 for loss, 1.0 sack).

Zach Brooks

Coach

Zach Brooks was added to the Augustana University coaching staff in the spring of 2026. Brooks joined Augustana after spending the 2025 season at Montana State University–Northern, where he served as wide receivers coach. He led receiver meetings, film breakdowns and analysis and assisted in game planning.  In 2025, Brooks developed two All-Conference wide receivers and played a key role in both player development and recruiting coordination. Brooks was a five-year member of the Dakota State football team before playing his final season at MSU-Northern. A collegiate quarterback at both programs, he earned team captain honors at each, recognized for his leadership and work ethic. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Dakota State University in 2023, along with an Associate degree in Business Management, and completed his Master’s degree in Education, Instruction and Learning from Montana State University–Northern.
