Elizabeth Baux
Assistant Coach
Baux previously served as the Head Mens and Womens Cross Country coach at AMU for the 2012 and 2013 seasons. She was also an Assistant Softball Coach from 2013-2015 at Ave Maria University in addition to being the Assistant Sports Information Director for two years (2012-2014). Baux led the womens cross country team to a pair of sixth place finishes at the Sun Conference championships in 2012 and 2013 and helped guide both mens and womens team-members to several individual PRs throughout the season. As a member of the softball staff, she helped to guide the Lady Gyrenes to their most successful season to date; including the first 30-win season in the history of the program in 2014 and a national runner-up finish at the USCAA (United States Collegiate Athletic Association) Small College World Series in 2013. She joined the athletic staff after graduating from Ave Maria in the spring of 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She was a two sport athlete while in college, playing both softball and basketball during her time in a Gyrene uniform. Baux was named the female Gyrene award-winner in 2011 and a finalist in 2012. The Gyrene award is the highest athletics award handed out at AMU each year - always to one male and one female student who excel in the areas of academics, athletics, spirituality, and leadership. Additionally, she also received the softball Leadership Award in 2012. Baux is a native of Scranton, Pennsylvania and was a 2007 graduate of Bishop Hannan High School where she was a three-sport varsity athlete. She is one of four children to Thomas and Theresa Baux. Baux currently resides in Ave Maria, Fla.
