Jon Anderson

Head Coach

Anderson, posting a 370-166-64 (.670) record over 30 years and a New England Division III ranking in all but three seasons. Anderson's teams have made 15 NCAA Tournament appearances, including a trip to the Final Four in 1991, and back-to-back trips to the third round of the NCAA Tournament in 2010 and 2011. In addition, Babson has won 12 conference titles, including the NEWMAC Championship in 2002, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2014 and 2015, and posted a 40-game conference unbeaten streak from 2008 to 2013.  Anderson has been honored as league coach of the year on nine occasions and has also been selected as the NSCAA New England Coach of the Year three times, most recently following the 2011 season when he led the Beavers their third straight NEWMAC regular season title and a 20-game unbeaten streak. He has led the Green and White to 11 consecutive winning seasons and 14 wins or more on nine different occasions.   A 1975 graduate of Babson, Anderson was a three-year starter at center midfield, playing on teams that went 56-5-4 and earned three NCAA Tournament berths, including the school's first-ever national championship in 1975. Following graduation, Anderson was a teacher/coach in Weymouth and Cohasset, Mass., before taking over as Babson's soccer coach in 1986. A well-respected lecturer and director of the popular Babson and South Shore soccer camps, Anderson resides with his family in Scituate, Mass. Two of his four children, Eric '13 and Emily '13, played soccer at Babson, with Eric graduating as the men's all-time leading scorer and only two-time first-team All-American. View: | Desktop

Jon Anderson '75

Head Coach

Jon Anderson ’75, who was inducted into the Babson Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013, is in his 40th season as the Beavers’ head men’s soccer coach in 2025. One of the longest tenured coaches in Division III, Anderson is 471-202-94 (.675) in 39 seasons at Babson. He ranks third among active coaches and 11th all-time in Division III in wins while leading the Beavers to 16 conference championships and 21 NCAA Tournament appearances. Anderson, who earned regional coach of the year honors for the fourth time (in addisiton to 1994, 2002 and 2011), helped the Beavers amass an overall record of 17-1-7 in 2024. The Green and White captured New England NEWMAC regular season and tournament championships going undefeated in conference play while outscoring opponents 28-1, before advancing to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight for the first time since 1991. Babson, which finished one win shy of its single-season program record set back in 1991 and conceded its fewest goals since 1990, outscored opponents 46-10 on the year. The Beavers ranked first in Division III team goals against average (0.40), shutouts (17) and shutout percentage (0.68) and did not allow a goal in over 807 minutes to end the season. Anderson and his staff were awarded United Soccer Coaches Region II Coaching Staff of the Year honors while guiding two All-Americans, five all-region and eight All-NEWMAC selections, ending the season ranked #5 in the nation. Anderson helped the Green and White earn six consecutive NCAA Tournament bids from 1988-93. The Beavers advanced to the second round in both 1989 and 1990 before finishing 18-4-1 and reaching the national semifinals in 1991. His 1992 team went 15-1-2 and won the first of two straight CAC titles before being ousted on penalty kicks in the second round of the NCAA Championship. Anderson guided the Beavers to NEWMAC Tournament titles and NCAA Tournament appearances in both 2002 and 2004, and going back to 2008 the Green and White has won six conference championships and participated in the NCAA Tournament nine times. Babson reached the sectional semifinals in 2010 and followed it up with a 20-game unbeaten streak in 2011 on the way to advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the second year in a row. The Beavers won back-to-back NEWMAC titles in 2014 and 2015, made a third straight NCAA appearance in 2016 and went unbeaten in league play on the way to claiming both conference regular season and tournament titles in 2019. The Green and White bounced back from a COVID-19 cancelled 2020 season to capture NEWMAC Tournament championships in 2021 and 2022, earning the program's 18th and 19th NCAA Tournament appearance under Anderson, including a second-round appearance in 2021. Anderson has earned 10 conference coach of the year awards and four regional coach honors, and his players have garnered 28 All-America, 91 NSCAA/United Soccer Coaches All-New England and 156 all-conference accolades. He also helped the Beavers go unbeaten in 40 straight matches against NEWMAC foes between 2008-13. Anderson was a three-year starter for the Beavers, who went 56-5-4 and earned three NCAA Tournament berths between 1972-75, culminating with Babson’s first national championship in his senior year. The Beavers went 17-0-1 to record the only unbeaten season in program history, defeating Brockport, 1-0, in the 1975 Division III title game. Anderson resides with his family in Scituate, Mass. Two of his four children, Eric ’13 and Emily ’13, played soccer at Babson. Eric graduated as the all-time leading scorer and only two-time first-team All-American in program history. Erik Sundsted

Assistant Coach

Muscaro rejoined the program in 2013 after spending the seven years at Ashland High School, most recently as the varsity girls coach from 2010-12.  A four-year letterwinner for the Beavers, Muscaro posted 29 shutouts during his time at Babson and was part of a class that went 45-15-9 from 1982-85. Upon graduation he spent 14 years as a part-time assistant for his alma mater and is now in his second stint on the Beavers' coaching staff.  View: | Desktop

EJ Reutemann

Assistant Coach

E.J. Reutemann is in his second season as an Assistant Men's Soccer coach at Babson College in 2025.   In his first season, the Beavers amassed a season record of 17-1-7 in 2024. The Green and White captured NEWMAC regular season and tournament championships going undefeated in conference while outscoring opponents 28-1, before advancing to the NCAA Tournament “Elite Eight” for the first time since 1991.   Babson, which finished one win shy of its single-season program record set back in 1991 and conceded its fewest goals since 1990, outscored opponents 46-10 on the year. The Beavers ranked first in Division III team goals against average (0.40), shutouts (17) and shutout percentage (0.68) and did not allow a goal in over 807 minutes to end the season. Reutemann was a part of a group that was awarded United Soccer Coaches Region II Coaching Staff of the Year while guiding two All-Americans, five All Region and eight NEWMAC Conference selections ending the year ranked #5 in the United Soccer Coaches national poll.  A coaching veteran with more than a decade of experience at the Division III level, Reutemann came to Babson after spending three seasons as the head men’s soccer coach at SUNY Delhi. After taking over a roster that included just 15 players in June 2021, he led the Broncos through a successful transition to Division III going 24-22-7, which includes 21 victories over his final two seasons leading the program.  Following a three-win campaign in 2021, Reutemann earned North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Coach of the Year honors after helping SUNY Delhi go 10-7-2 in 2022. The Broncos won the league's West Division and advanced to the NAC Tournament final before suffering a 1-0 double-overtime loss to Husson. Reutemann's squad was even better in 2023 going 11-3-4 while ranking in the top 10 in Division III in scoring offense (3.75 goals per game), corner kicks per game (8.00), shots per game (19.06) and team goals against average (0.56). The Broncos kept 10 clean sheets and had six players earn All-NAC accolades as well as two major awards in the Defensive Player and Rookie Of The Year. A 2012 graduate of SUNY Cortland with a bachelor’s & master’s degree in Sport Management, Reutemann spent a total of nine seasons at his alma mater as an assistant coach, which includes being promoted to associate head coach in March 2017. The Red Dragons went 108-43-11, which is good for a .670 winning percentage during his tenure, and captured three SUNYAC regular season titles (2016, 2017, 2018) as well as the 2016 SUNYAC Tournament Championship. A year in which the group set the school record for wins (19) and earning USC East Region Coaching Staff of the Year. Reutemann helped mentor 55 All-SUNYAC, 18 All-Region and four United Soccer Coaches All-America selections as the Red Dragons made four NCAA Tournament appearances and advanced to the “Sweet Sixteen” in 2014, 2016 and 2018 during his tenure.  In addition to his time at Cortland, Reutemann spent the spring of 2020 as an Assistant Coach at Virginia Wesleyan University and the 2020-21 academic year as an Assistant Coach at Tufts University. He also made one New York State AA Sectional Final appearance while serving as the varsity girls soccer coach at Ithaca High School from 2013-16.  As a four-year starter and captain for the Red Dragons from 2008-11 Reutemann finished second on the team in scoring as the Red Dragons were SUNYAC Champions and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament during his rookie campaign in 2008. His assist totals rank in the top twenty in Cortland program history.  A true student of the game Reutemann holds a United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma with a “Pass Of Distinction”, a USSF “D” license and is certified as a Program Specialist & Sport Nutrition Coach from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Michael Webber

Assistant Coach

Michael Webber joined the Babson College men's soccer staff as the goalkeeping coach in October 2023.  A December 2022 graduate of Bowdoin College with a B.S. in Computer Science, Webber was a four-year member of the men's soccer program. During his tenure as a goalkeeper for the Polar Bears, Webber made 39 appearances, accumulating 3,569 minutes of play, 157 saves, and 16 shutouts. In the 2022 season, he led the NESCAC with a 0.37 goals against average, achieved 10 shutouts, and maintained an .887 save percentage, earning him First Team All-NESCAC honors.  In March 2023, Webber signed a professional contract with North Texas SC, an affiliate of FC Dallas, for the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season. Shortly after his arrival in Texas, he signed a short-term loan deal with FC Dallas.  In Webber’s short time at Babson, he has coached one All-American, who led the country with a .425 GAA, was seventh in save percentage (.872), and tied for second on the Babson single-season list with 13 shutouts.

Pat Daggett

Assistant Coach

Pat Daggett was hired as an assistant men’s soccer coach at Babson College in May 2024.  In his first season, the Beavers amassed a season record of 17-1-7 in 2024. The Terriers captured the Division 2 state championship in 2021 and advanced to the West sectional final in 2017 in addition to claiming multiple league titles during the seven-year tenure at his alma mater. A 2017 graduate of Westfield State University with a degree in business management, Daggett was a four-year member of the men’s soccer program. He appeared in 38 games as a defender and helped the Owls claim the a MASCAC regular season title in 2015.  Since graduating from Westfield State, Daggett has worked with some of the world’s largest brands as a Technical Program Manager in the Banking, Artificial Intelligence and Agricultural Technology Sectors.  In addition to coaching and his work in the private sector, Daggett is currently working towards his MBA at the Isenberg School or Management at UMass Amherst.
