Karen Exon
Assistant Coach
Exon quickly built the women's team into a Heart of America Athletic Conference power with a third-place finish in 1999 with her first full team. In 2013 her squad won the University's first ever Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Golf Team Championship. The Wildcats then competed in the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship tournament in Lincoln, Neb., at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Course. Baker finished in 26th-place as a team. Freshman Lindsey Mateer was named the Heart Freshman of the Year. The Wildcat men's golf team also had an outstanding 2012-13 season finishing the Heart Tournament in second-place behind Central Methodist. 2013-14 brought even more success to both programs, as the women's squad captured its second-straight Heart Conference Tournament Championship and advanced to the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship again in Lincoln, Neb. Baker improved to a tie for 24th-place at the 2014 National Championship. The men's team again finished in second-place in the Heart Conference Tournament just behind first-place Culver-Stockton. Off of the course, junior Emma Tinsley was named a 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and senior men's golfer also won the NAIA Scholar-Athlete honor.
