Maloney Bio Life has a way of working out. I was lucky enough to call Rich Maloney my coach. He is a man of integrity, honesty, faith and love. I cant thank him enough for the opportunity he gave me throughout my career. In my opinion, he is the best head coach in the country. He has a rare skill to uplift the team and get them to believe in the ultimate goal -- championships. Coach will forever be apart of my life and Team 96. Harrison Stevens was hired in July 2024 as an assistant coach with the Ball State baseball team. Stevens joins the Cardinals after coaching two years at NCAA Division II member Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs, Ga. The new Ball State hire worked primarily with infielders for a program that posted its initial 30-win season as a Division II team in 2024. "We are excited to have Harrison Stevens join our staff," head coach Rich Maloney said. "Harrison was highly recommended, has tremendous passion, positive energy, is all about adding value to the players he coaches and has a growth mindset. Looking forward to having him on our staff." Stevens served as the head coach at Battle Mountain High School in Edwards, Colo., from 2019-22 before going to Emmanuel. The Eagle, Colo., native led the Battle Mountain program to its first postseason appearance and highest state RPI ranking in 2022. Stevens played his college ball from 2016-19 at Colby Community College in Colby, Kan., and Evangel University in Springfield, Mo.
