Head Coach
Young comes to Bard College after a lengthy career in the YMCA. His involvement in these two sports began at Hartford High School (Vt.), where he was an All-State in the pole vault. His running and cross country involvement began in later years, and included 10Ks, local road races of varying lengths, marathons and mini-triathlons. Young is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and Springfield College. He brings his enthusiasm for both sports to every practice; his goal is for each Bard athlete to Reach today to excel at a higher level tomorrow."
