Belhaven College Women's Cross Country

Barber enters her 16th year as Head Cross Country Coach at Belhaven. A 1997 graduate of Belhaven, Barber was a Cross Country team member for the Blazers during her time at the college. The 2015 season was a historic season for the women's program. Prior to 2015, the Blazers had six National Qualifiers in the programs history, dating back to 1992. However, there had never been more than three runners qualify in the same year, meaning Belhaven had just individual participation. That changed on October 17 as the team posted one of the best combined team times in school history to earn a team qualification to the National Christian College Athletic Association National Championships. "We are excited to have some very strong returning runners and new additions this year and hope to have several runners qualify for the national meet this November," said Barber. Coach Barber continues to run competitively, winning the womens division of the Mississippi Marathon in 2001 and 2003.Coach Barber is a resident of Crystal Springs, Mississippi. She teaches elementary students in addition to coaching at Belhaven.
