Devanny Kuhn

Assistant Coach

Kuhn, a former star player at Ball State University, joined the Bellarmine University field hockey coaching staff as an assistant in 2013. In 2014, Kuhn helped lead Bellarmine to an 11-win season that included an appearance in the Eastern College Athletic Conference Tournament finals. Six members of the team were honored on the All-ECAC teams. After a sterling high school career at Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville, Kuhn played four years (2008-11) at Ball State, where she twice earned first-team All-Mid-American Conference honors along with one second-team nod and multiple Academic All-MAC notices. In her junior season, Kuhn collected 33 points on the strength of 15 goals, including five game-winners. She was named team captain for her senior season and led the team in goals with seven. Before graduating from Ball State with a bachelors degree in communication studies and a minor in hospitality management, Kuhn was a two-year letter winner at Sacred Heart, where she became the first player selected as Kentuckys Miss Field Hockey following her senior season after leading the Valkyries to a 26-0 record and state title in addition to a No. 2 national ranking. She was also named Academic All-State. After her standout career at Ball State, Kuhn returned to her high school alma mater to coach junior varsity field hockey. .
