Head Coach

Folsom understands the important balance of a quality education and athletics. Folsoms 2005-2006 Lady Ravens squad set a school record for wins. The team finished the year 30-5, won the HAAC, won the post-season HAAC tournament, and reached the Elite Eight at the NAIA Division II National Tournament. During his tenure, the program has earned 52 All-Heart performers and has produced nine NAIA All-American selections. Folsom returned to his hometown of Atchison, Kansas after being away for 11 years. Before coming to Benedictine College, he coached the mens basketball team at Lamar Community College in Lamar, Colorado for 4 years, three years as the head coach. Folsom brought the mens program at Lamar C.C. to their first winning season in 8 years, while at the same time his teams produced 5 Academic All-Americans. Coach Folsom graduated from Maur Hill Prep School in Atchison, KS in 1990 before he attended Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa. While at Grinnell, Chad earned a total of 12 varsity letters in basketball, indoor, and outdoor track and was named captain his senior year in all three sports. Folsoms 1994 Grinnell Pioneers basketball team was the National Scoring Champions averaging 110 points per game. Folsom graduated from Grinnell College in 1994 with a bachelors degree in psychology. He then attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where he completed his masters degree in sport psychology in 1997. Chad is married to Amy (McKelvy), a 1995 graduate of Benedictine College. Amy and Chad reside in Atchison with their five children, Haylie, Taylor, Madison, Kaitlyn, and Kyle. Andi Wilder joined the Raven womens basketball staff prior to the 2008-2009 season.  Coach Wilder came to Benedictine College from fellow conference member Central Methodist University, where she was an assistant coach for three years.  While at CMU, she assisted with film exchange, scouting, recruiting, and coaching the JV program.  Before Central Methodist, Coach Wilder spent one year as an assistant coach at North Dakota State College of Science, an NJCAA Division I school.   Andi, a native of Fort Collins, CO, played her college basketball at Otero Junior College in Colorado and McPherson College in Kansas, where she earned Academic All-American honors at both schools.  She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from McPherson and earned her Masters degree in Education at Central Methodist University. As the assistant coach, Andi is actively involved in recruiting, pre-season and post-season conditioning, film breakdown and scouting, and on-the-floor coaching in practices and games.  In addition to her duties as an assistant coach for the womens basketball program, Andi supervises the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) made up of athletes from the different teams on campus.  Chris Emery is entering his second year on the Benedictine College womens basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach.  Chris, a native of Tampa, FL, finished his undergraduate degree at Florida Gulf Coast University.  While at NCAA Division I Florida Gulf Coast, Chris spent two years as the manager for the womens basketball team.  He gained a great deal of experience being involved in a highly successful womens basketball program that went to the NCAA Division I National Tournament both years.  Chris graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Management with a concentration in Sport Management and is now pursuing his Masters in Business Administration here at Benedictine College. Chris assists the womens basketball program with on the floor coaching in practice and games, as well as working with film exchange, video editing, recruiting, and academic monitoring

Andi Connelly

Assistant Coach
