Benedictine University Men's Track And Field

Morgan, a native of Chicago, brings 14 years of track & field coaching experience to the Benedictine program. He joins the program after most recently serving as the assistant girl's track and field coach at Fenwick High School.  Morgan worked with the long and triple jump group while at Fenwick. Prior to Fenwick, Morgan coached at Leo Catholic High School, North Lawndale College Prep and Homewood Flossmoor High School. Morgan spent 5 years as the assistant coach at Leo Catholic High School. Leo captured the IHSA 1A State Championship in 2011 and 2012. Morgan spent 4 years at North Lawndale College Prep, working with their boy and girl's program. Morgan spent 3 years with Homewood-Flossmoor High School, for the girls track and field program. Homewood-Flossmoor captured the IHSA 3A State championship in 2019.  Morgan graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and minor in Business Administration. While a student-athlete for the Panthers, Morgan won the Long Jump at the  2004 OVC Indoor Championship meet, after returning from ACL surgery.   Morgan lives in the south suburbs with his significant other, Lateefah, and two children Mason and Zahara. BENEDICTINE STUDENT-ATHLETE ACCOLADES UNDER MORGAN - Temitope Osobamiro earned 1st place in Triple Jump NACC Indoor Conference Championships 2024 - Temitope Osobamiro earned USTFCCA First Team All-America honors in the Triple Jump at the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships  - Temitope Osobamiro earned 1st place in Triple Jump NACC Outdoor Conference Championships 2024 - Temitope Osobamiro earned 1st place in Long Jump NACC Outdoor Conference Championships 2024 - Sulaiman Ahmed earned 1st place in Long Jump NACC Indoor Conference Championships 2024 - Sulaiman Ahmed earned USTFCCA Second Team All-America honors in the Long Jump in 2024 Indoor       

Willis, a native of Chicago, bringing over 20 years of track & field coaching experience to the Benedictine program. She is joining the program after serving 4 seasons as assistant coach at Proviso East High School in Maywood, Illinois, where she coached a 3rd place finisher at the IHSA State Championships in the Girls 300 Meter Hurdles in 2023. Prior to Proviso East, Willis spent 4 years as the assistant coach at Hinkley High School in Aurora, Colorado. She helped produce state champions in the boys 800m relay in 2017.  She produced state finalists in the girls 200m dash (school record holder), girls 400m relay and 800m relay in 2018. In 2019, she coached a freshman to the Colorado State Championships in the girls 200m dash.     Additionally, she coached a National Champion in the Men's 110m hurdles at the College of Dupage.  She also served as a volunteer sprint coach at St. Xavier University. Wiliis coached several  years with the Zephyrs Track Club where she developed multiple All-Americans who competed at the USATF Championships.   Willis graduated from Carthage College with a Bachelor's Degree in Geography.  She also holds a Masters degree in Teaching and is currently a Special Education Teacher in Lombard.   While a student-athlete, Willis was a 2-time All-American in the women's hurdles and on the 400m relay.  She also earned All-American honors 6x.
