Beck Roghaar

Head Coach

Roghaar has guided the team to four winning seasons and a six-year record of 72-63 in dual matches. His teams have also been known for excellence in the classroom, being named an ITA All-Academic Team five of his six seasons. Roghaar wasted no time in putting his stamp on the program, his first team went 17-8 overall and 5-1 in the WAC on its way to the regular-season championship. The 17 wins broke the program record for most wins by a first year head coach. Following the Broncos' outstanding regular season Roghaar was named 2011 WAC Coach of the Year. Boise State fell just short of reaching the NCAA tournament, as the Broncos dropped a 4-3 heartbreaker to Fresno State in the WAC tournament championship match. The next two seasons saw the move into the Mountain West where the Broncos finished their inaugural campaign 2-5 in conference and 8-12 overall. Roghaar's second swing through the league saw improvement as Boise State finished 13-10 overall, six of the losses came against nationally ranked opponents, and 4-4 in league play which placed the team fifth in the nine-team standings. Most recently his 2015-16 squad finished with a 12-10 overall mark and a 4-2 MW record. The team won eight of its final 11 matches, including five against regional foes to vault to No. 7 in the final ITA Mountain Region rankings. Freshman Hanna Kantenwein was named All-Mountain West in singles and ranked No. 10 regionally in singles at the end of the year. Megan LaLone and Naomi de Hart picked up All-MW doubles accolades.
