Tyler Papadinis
Assistant Coach
Tyler Papadinis joined the Bowdoin men's basketball coaching staff in the summer of 2022. A veteran Division III coach, Papadinis was most recently the head coach at Rhodes (Tenn.) College from 2018-2020. Prior to Rhodes, Tyler served as Associate Head Men's Basketball Coach at MIT and the University of Massachusetts Boston. "I'm excited to be welcoming Coach Ty to our program," said head men's basketball coach [Alex Lloyd](https://athletics.bowdoin.edu/coaches.aspxrc=283). "He has experience with both high-achieving student-athletes and basketball programs. His ability to form and maintain relationships on campus, and as a recruiter, brings a lot to our program and community. We're looking forward to getting started." Prior to his two years at Rhodes, where he had one All-Southern Athletic Association selection, Papadinis was the associate head coach for MIT. In his three seasons with the Engineers, the program proved to be one of the best in New England, recording 66 wins, two NEWMAC Championships, and two NCAA Tournament trips. Papadinis got his coaching start at UMass Boston from 2008-2015, earning his master's degree while serving as the assistant coach for five years before being named associate head coach. In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Papadinis also has NBA experience serving as an operations intern for the New York Knicks before accepting the position at UMass Boston. Papadinis owns a master's degree in Business Administration from UMass Boston and graduated from Ithaca College in 2007 with a degree in Sport Management.

Patrick Bugler
Assistant Coach
Patrick Bugler joined the Bowdoin men's basketball program in April of 2026. Bugler comes to Bowdoin after two seasons at Gordon College. At Gordon, Bugler was the recruiting coordinator and had direct involvement with player development and scouting for the Scots. Prior to Gordon, Bugler was an assistant coach at Eastern Nazarene in 2023-24. A 2022 graduate of Salem State University, Bugler played basketball for the Vikings and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration.
