Scott Wiercinski
Head Coach
Scott Wiercinski was named head coach of the Bowdoin men's soccer team in March of 2013. Over the course of his tenure, Bowdoin has remained one of the top teams in the region and nationally, winning a pair of NESCAC titles, posting winning records in every year as head coach and reaching the postseason in all but one season. In just his second season, Wiercinski led the Polar Bears to their first-ever NESCAC Championship in his second season at the helm and collected an NCAA First Round Tournament win in 2014. The Polar Bears became back-to-back NESCAC Champions with another tournament run in 2015 when he was named the NESCAC Coach of the Year. A native of Brunswick and graduate of Brunswick High School, Wiercinski returned to Maine after seven years as head coach at the University of Chicago. His resume also includes assistant coaching jobs at Brown and Bowdoin. He is a 1999 graduate of Middlebury. Prior to Bowdoin, Wiercinski was head men's soccer coach at University of Chicago for seven seasons, winning 58 games and the 2009 UAA Championship. Prior to his arrival at Chicago, Wiercinski spent five years as an assistant coach at Brown University from 2001-05. During that time, Brown compiled a 41-31-13 overall record, collected three Ivy League championships, and earned two NCAA Division I postseason berths. Wiercinski broke into coaching in 2000 with Bowdoin, where he helped former head coach Brian Ainscough lead the Polar Bears to a 14-2-2 record. A as a student at Middlebury College, Wiercinski was a four-year letter winner and two-time All-New England Small College Athletic Conference goalkeeper for the Panthers. He helped lead Middlebury to a 48-10-3 overall record and four NCAA Division III tournament appearances from 1995-98.

Brad Burnham
Head Coach
Just the third coach in the history of Bowdoin men's swimming (and second for the women's team) Brad Burnham has led the program since 2000. During his tenure, Burnham has guided the Polar Bears to numerous outstanding seasons and several All-American honors in one of the most competitive conferences in Division III swimming. With numerous All-Americans and virtually every school record broken during his tenure, Burnham's reputation for maximizing individual swimmers' potential is among the best in the nation. The Polar Bear women have had a winning record in dual matches every season since 2011 while the men have a winning mark in nine of the last 13 years. With the Polar Bears consistently ranking in the top half at the conference championships annually, Burnham was named the NESCAC Women's Swimming Coach of the Year in 2015. Prior to Bowdoin, Burnham was involved in all aspects of running a Division I swim program while an assistant at UCLA. He assisted in technique development and race strategy while also overseeing daily workouts, overall season planning, budgeting and recruiting. During his six years at UCLA, Burnham helped the Bruins finish no worse than 16th place at the NCAA Division I Swimming & Diving Championships. During his time at UCLA, Burnham worked with over 40 All-Americans. Before joining UCLA, Burnham received his Master's in Exercise Physiology from Colorado State University. While earning his degree, Burnham also worked as a graduate assistant swim coach and a graduate teaching assistant in his field. During the summer,Burnham worked at the prestigious Stanford Swim Camp as a counselor and coach. During his coaching career, Burnham has worked with three Olympic swimmers. While at Colorado State, he helped train Amy Van Dyken,who earned four gold medals at the 1996 games in Atlanta. At UCLA,he worked with Annette Salmeen, who also won a gold medal at Atlanta. At Bowdoin, he has coached Emilie Grand'Pierre, who competed in the 2020 (2021) Olympics for Haiti. Burnham graduated from the University of Maine in 1992 with a Bachelor's of Science in Physical Education and Health Fitness. A Dean's List student, Burnham was the captain of the Black Bears' swim team his senior year.

Cooper Quenneville
Assistant Coach
Quenneville joined the Bowdoin coaching staff in the fall of 2015. A 2014 graduate of St. Michael's (Vt.) College, Quenneville spent the last year as an assistant coach at Gould Academy. A midfielder at St. Michael's, Quenneville was a senior captain in 2014, earning team MVP honors, Northeast-10 All-Conference recognition and a trip to the USILA Division I/II Senior Game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Max Silberlicht

Silberlicht was named assistant coach of the Bowdoin men's lacrosse team in the summer of 2012. Silberlicht comes to the Polar Bears from Lynchburg (Va.) College, where he was an offensive assistant for the last two seasons. He joined the Hornets in 2010 after an outstanding career at Division I Hobart (N.Y.). A three and a half year starter for the Statesmen between the pipes, he climbed the ranks of the school's record books. For his career, he posted a 9.24 goals against average with 18 wins, both program records. He recorded 553 saves with a .576 save percentage, both of which are second all-time at the school. In 2008 he broke the Hobart single season goals against average (8.05), and then broke his own record the following year (7.91). Max is also a two time recipient of the C.R.A.G. Outstanding Defensive Player award ('09 and '10), while also being recognized as the senior co-Athlete of the Year for Hobart College. Silberlicht earned his Masters' degree in Educational Leadership from Lynchburg. In addition to his duties with the men's lacrosse program, Silberlicht will also assume additional duties in the Bowdoin Sports Information Office.
