[Skip Ad](https://bgsufalcons.com/sports/softball/roster/coaches/tegan-cortelletti/2274#) Tegan Cortelletti joined the BGSU softball coaching staff in August of 2024. Cortelletti came to Northwest Ohio after enjoying a stellar playing career at Ohio State, where she was a five-time OSU Scholar-Athlete. She played in a total of 180 career games, making 118 starts for the Buckeyes, and had career totals of 95 runs and 130 hits. Cortelletti had a career on-base percentage of .451. A three-time member of the Academic All-Big Ten Conference Team, Cortelletti twice was named an NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete. After seeing action in 15 games as a freshman, Cortelletti played in a total of 92 of the Buckeyes 96 games over the next two seasons. She was a perfect 18-for-18 in stolen bases in her sophomore year. She hit .326 as a senior in 2023, then had the finest season of her career in 24. Cortelletti started 47 games and led the team in hitting with a .394 batting average. That average ranked her fifth in the Big Ten and also placed her 11th on the OSU single-season list. She was named to the NFCA All-Midwest Region Second Team in her final campaign. Cortelletti, a native of Hilliard, Ohio, earned her undergraduate degree in criminology and criminal justice from Ohio State in 2023, before earning a a masters degree in sport coaching from OSU in May of 2024. I am honored to have the opportunity to be a part of the Bowling Green softball staff, said Cortelletti. Bowling Green is a highly respectable program, and I am excited to take it to the next level. I am eager to bring my experience and knowledge of the game to these young athletes and help lead them into this upcoming season.
