Ferreira kept the Golden Tigers at the top of the rankings with a fifth place national finish. The squad also boasted three All-Americans and five SSAC honorees, including the , Fatyha Berjane. In 2013-2014, the team finished as runners-up in the SSAC and received an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament and finished #6 in the nation. The team was honored with two first-team NAIA All-Americans and two Honorable Mention All-American performers. In 2012-2013, the team finished with its most successful season under Ferreira, reaching the final of the SSAC conference championship and the quarterfinals of the NAIA national championship. The team finished the season with a 13-5 record and No. 5 ranking in the NAIA the highest year-end ranking since 2005. The team was ranked as high as No. 1 in the NAIA polls during the season and achieved a 3.22 cumulative GPA. A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Ferreira moved to the United States in the fall 2004 on a tennis scholarship to attend and represent Berry College in Rome, GA. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree in Health and Physical Education, Ferreira became the Graduate Assistant Coach for both the mens and womens tennis programs at Berry College in the fall 2008. In the spring 2010, Ferreira finished his MBA at Berry and moved to Macon, GA to become the Tennis Assistant Professional at Idle Hour Country Club. Under the guidance of tennis director, Craig Jones, he taught tennis lessons to children and adults of all ages and levels, including the high performance juniors at Craig Jones Tennis Academy. Ferreira holds the P-1 certification by United States Professional Tennis Association. In addition to coaching the tennis team, Ferreira teaches the Tennis and Weight Training/Personal Fitness classes for the university, and coordinates tennis leagues, events and lessons for the Gainesville community at the Smithgall Tennis Center at Brenau. He also serves as Womens Tennis Rater for the Southern States Athletic Conference, and served as the President of the NAIA Tennis Coaches Association in 2012-2013. In 2012-2013, Coach Ferreira was a recipient of the USTA Multicultural Grant to attend the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Coaches Convention.  He is married to former Brenau student-athlete Lindsay Woon and has two children. The couple resides in Buford, GA. John Davis is in his seventh season as assistant coach for the Brenau Golden Tigers tennis team. In 2013, he was named as the National Assistant Coach of the Year for Women's Tennis by the International Tennis Association (ITA).  Davis grew up in Gulfport, MS, where he played high school tennis and attended Mississippi State University where he played four years, graduating in 1961 with a BS in Forest Resource Management.  Upon graduation, he entered the US Navy and was able to continue playing while stationed at the Naval Air Station, Memphis. John played dual matches for NAS Memphis and in the Sixth Naval District Tournaments in 1961 and 1962 at the Naval Air Station, Pensacola.  After being discharged from the Navy, he began his forestry career in North Georgia and continued playing local tournaments and social tennis in Marietta, Rome, Athens and Gainesville. He continues to play tennis and he and his wife, Dudley, have been avid fans of the Brenau Golden Tigers for a number of years.
