BC's efforts in 2025-26 led to several accolades, including the first Coach of the Year honor for Coach Hudson, the program's first Defensive Player of the Year (Kayden Johnson), and four All-Conference recognitions.  Hudson lead the program to its first conference-level postseason berth in the 2020-21 season. Hudson and the Tornados earned the four-seed in the 2020-21 USA South Conference West Division Tournament after finishing the regular season with a 6-5 record in conference play. The postseason appearance marked the first in the program's now 15-year NCAA-era history.  Hudson enters his 11th year overall working for Brevard College Athletics, as Hudson began his coaching career following his graduation from Brevard in 2011.
