Robinson's first season, losing to eventual champion Washington & Lee on both the men's and women's side. The men earned an ITA Regional ranking, as did women's #1 singles player Maria Hawkins. Christian Lynn was also named to the prestigious CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large team. Robinson is no stranger to Bridgewater College after serving as an assistant coach during the 2010-11 tennis seasons for the men and the women. During his time with the Eagles, the men posted a 14-7 overall record and earned a trip to the semifinal round of the ODAC tournament. Bridgewaters women also earned a trip to the semifinals and posted a 15-4 overall record on the year. Prior to taking the head coaching position with the Eagles, Robinson was the assistant mens tennis coach at Division I James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. A native of Woodstock, Va., Robinson came to Harrisonburg following two seasons as the head coach of both the mens and womens teams at Ferrum College. Under Robinson, the Ferrum mens team qualified for the USA South Tournament twice and produced four Academic All-Conference honorees. Robinson took four men to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Southeast Regionals at the University of Mary Washington in October 2012.  It was the first time in over 15 years that Ferrum made an appearance in an ITA Regional. During his two years with the womens team at Ferrum, he led the Panthers to the conference tournament once and had five players earn Academic All-Conference honors. The 2013 team posted six wins, its most in five years. Before his time at the collegiate level, Robinson  was the girls tennis coach at Central High School in Woodstock, Va. and served a year as the assistant tennis pro at Wintergreen Resort in Wintergreen, Va. Robinson played collegiately at King College from 2004-06, earning Academic All-Conference both seasons. He finished his degree at James Madison in 2009, earning a bachelors degree in kinesiology.

Noah Hughes

Head Coach

The Eagles went 8-10 and 6-12 in Hughes' first year at the helm. The men's squad tallied the program's first four-match winning streak in half a decade during their spring break trip. Hughes registered his first head-coaching victory with the program on Sept. 23 as the men defeated McDaniel 4-0 on the road.  Hughes returns to Bridgewater after serving as the Head Coach of the Ferrum tennis program last season. In his first season with the Panthers, Hughes witnessed both the men's and women's programs make significant strides, as each team doubled its win total from the previous season. The 2025 spring was highlighted by the men's team's first victory over Randolph-Macon in 15 years and the program's first ODAC victory since 2019.   "Noah brings in knowledge of the game of tennis as well as an understanding of the ever-changing landscape of the sport," said Kendall. "We're excited to have him back to lead our tennis programs."   The 2024 BC graduate was an All-ODAC honoree in 2022 at No. 3 doubles with partner Matthew Gordon and was a three-year starter in the Crimson and Gold. Hughes served as a team captain during his junior and senior seasons and was named to the ODAC Sportsmanship Team.   "I would like to thank the administration for the opportunity to come back to a community that is near to my heart," said Hughes. "I am excited to get started and to lead this program in a new direction."   A native of Fishersville, Va., Hughes graduated from Bridgewater with a degree in Health and Exercise Science in 2024. Along with his time at Ferrum, Hughes has served as a tennis and pickleball teaching professional at Sea Pines Racquet Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C., and Spotswood Country Club in Harrisonburg. He also spent a short stint as an assistant coach at East Texas Baptist University before his time with the Panthers.   Hughes Career Year              GP    W   L     Pct.        Accolades                          2024-25 (Men)* 17 5 12 .294 2024-25 (Women)* 18 3 15 .167 2025-26 (Men) 18 8 10 .444 2025-26 (Women) 18 6 12 .333 Career 71 22 49 .310    At Bridgewater 36 14 22 .389 *at Ferrum College
