John Rogers
Head Coach
Rogers enters his fifth season at the helm of the Bridgewater College women's golf program. The 2015-16 was historic for Bridgewater as the Eagles won their first ODAC championship in just their fourth year as a varsity program, and had two individuals qualify for the NCAA championships. Rogers earned his second straight ODAC Coach of the Year award for a team that featured two All-Region selections and a first team All-American in Christina Herbert. The Eagles earned their first national ranking in 2015-16, slotting as high as #13 and finishing the year at #15. They were also regionally-ranked by the NCAA. Rogers shared ODAC Coach of the Year honors in 2014-15 as the Eagles placed second behind nationally-ranked Washington & Lee in the conference. Bridgewater had four All-ODAC selections while featurring an honorable mention All-American in freshman Christina Herbert (the ODAC indivual champion) and the ODAC Scholar-Athlete- junior Andrea Walker. Bridgewater won three tournaments during the 2014 fall season. The 2013-14 season was historic for the Eagles in a number of ways. The womens golf team wrapped up the three-day conference tournament with a +192, 1056, to finish comfortably in second place overall in the programs first team competition at the ODAC Championships. Marin Warring and Andrea Walker picked up All-ODAC honors. Warring was on the first team and Walker was a second-team choice, marking the second straight season in which a Bridgewater golfer was named to the All-ODAC first team. During the program's inaugural season, Rogers led a pair of Eagles to top 10 finishes at the ODAC Championships and saw a pair of players earn All-ODAC honors, including a first team selection for Andrea Walker. On Aug. 22, 2012, Bridgewater College Interim President Roy Ferguson and Director of Athletics Curt Kendall named Rogers, a 15 year veteran instructor at Lakeview Golf Course in Harrisonburg, Va., as the new head coach for the Eagles womens golf program. Rogers was hired at Lakeview in 1995 as an assistant pro and has been a golf instructor since 1999, occasionally assisting the Bridgewater Eagles mens golf program. Since 2009, Rogers has been the head instructor at Lakeview, assisting golfers of all ages and leading more than 1,000 private lessons per year. Prior to being named Lakeviews top instructor, Rogers was a teaching professional for eight years, beginning in 2001. During that time he created the Tournament Players Series, which is a program that was created to help young golfers. Currently serves more than 100 junior golfers and has developed the skills of more than a dozen players who have played at the collegiate level. In addition to working at Lakeview, Rogers began working as a fitness and golf instructor at RMH Wellness Center in 2004 and has provided indoor lessons and direct golf instruction for nine-plus years. Rogers graduated magna cum laude from James Madison University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He resides in New Market.

Lee Williams
Assistant Coach
Williams goals are straightforward. Basically, we want to show improvement in every match, win the ODAC Championship, and qualify for the NCAA Tournament. Bridgewater reached the programs pinnacle moment under Williams in 2010 when the Eagles dethroned Guilford College to earn the schools first ever ODAC Championship. Williams also led then-junior Mike Redwood to the programs first individual title at the annual conference championship. In 2015-16, the Eagles set a new program and tournament scoring record at the Tom Kinder Memorial with an opening round 284. Senior Elijah Tackett earned his second straight GCAA All-American Scholar honor and was the ODACs Ted Keller Sportsman of the Year. In 2011, the Eagles took home the runner-up spot at the ODAC Championships, but more program milestones were reached when Redwood repeated as the conference indivudual flag winner. Redwood became the first player in ODAC history to repeat as the individual champion, and later became the first Bridgewater player to ever qualify as an individual for the NCAA Championships. Williams has coached 19 All-ODAC performers, including four-time honorees Redwood, John Phillips and Grady Ruckman. Williams teams have also set the team scoring record on six seperate occasions, most recently with a 303.3 team average during the 2010-11 season. Under Williams tutilege, the Eagles have claimed 25 tournament titles. He has earned ODAC Coach of the Year honors on three occasions. Dr. Williams came to Bridgewater in 1995 after spending four years as a professor of Computer Science at the United States Naval Academy. He served 22 years in the U.S. Navy as a surface warfare specialist and computer engineer and achieved the rank of Commander before his retirement in 1995. Following the 2013-14 academic year, Williams retired from teaching in the Colleges Math and Computer Sciences department after serving as the department chair and as a professor for 19 years.
