Alfred Blaisdell
Assistant Coach
Blaisdell is a 2013 graduate of St. Lawrence University where he earned a B.A. in Communications. He was a two-year captain on the Saints' track & field team and was a two-time Liberty League and New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) champion in both the weight throw and the discus. Prior to coming to Bridgewater State, Alfred served as an assistant coach at Division II Minot State University from 2013-2015. He coached three NCAA qualifiers (weight throw, javelin) and one NCAA All-American (javelin) during his tenure there. Coach Blaisdell holds a USATF Level One Coaching Certification as well as a USTFCCCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification.

Michael Hulme
Assistant Coach
Hulme joined the Bridgewater State track and field coaching staff prior to the 2014-2015 season. Hulme specializes in the jumping events and is a USATF Level II jumps coach as well as a USA Weightlifting level one sports performance coach. A graduate of the University of North Carolina-Wimington with a degree in applied mathematics, Hulme soared for the Seahawks in the pole vault, winning two conference championships in 2005 & 2007. He also earned Academic-All American honors in 2005. Prior to UNCW, Hulme competed for Eastern Regional High School in New Jersey where he was the state champion in the pole vault in 2002 and still holds his high schools record. Coach Hulme spent the previous two years coaching at UMass-Boston. During his time at UMB, Hulme worked with the high jumpers and saw numerous conference champions, national qualifiers and All-Americans.

Amy Delgado
Assistant Coach
Delgado became the head coach of the BSU women's track & field team in the summer of the 2014 after serving two seasons as an assistant coach (sprints) for the school's track & field programs. Amy is a graduate of UMass Lowell where she was a four-year sprinter for the River Hawks from 2008 to 2012 as well as a team captain during her junior and senior seasons. Delgado received a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health from UMass in 2012. She served as the chair of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), was named to the Deans List each of her last three academic years and was a Jane Pankovich Austin Endowed Scholarship Recipient in 2012. Delgado was also named Northeast-10 Track Athlete of the Week in 2011, and was a two time member of the NE-10 All-Conference Track & Field Team in 2011 and 2012. She also competed at the NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships five straight seasons (indoor/outdoor) between 2010 and 2012. Amy completed the teaching licensure program at BSU this past December (2013) and will be starting her professional career as a health teacher at Attleboro High School in September.

Thomas Smith
Coach
Smith continued his role as head coach of the men's indoor and outdoor track teams and also served as the distance coach for the women's program. In 2015, Smith guided the men's outdoor track team to its first-ever individual national title, as senior Chris Perry became the Division 3 outdoor champion in the triple jump, breaking his own school record (50 feet 11 inches). The Bears also had another All-American at the national meet, as Conor Murtagh finished seventh in the 110-meter hurdles. Smith is a 2006 graduate of Stonehill College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. At Stonehill, he was a four-time Northeast-10 All-Conference selection in both cross country and track as well as a three-time all-region selection in cross country. Smith currently holds the Chieftains' outdoor track record in the 10,000 meter run (31:04.77). Presently a history teacher at Middleboro High School, Smith was an assistant coach for both cross country and track at Stonehill following his graduation. He instructed three All-American athletes during the 2006-2007 academic year.
