Harley Fuller

Associate Head Coach

Harley Fuller is now in his first season as Associate Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator at Bryant University, his third stop with Head Coach Jamion Christian.  Harley Fuller arrives following a highly successful four-year tenure at Mohawk Valley College, where he guided the program to two NJCAA Tournament appearances, a 109–30  overall record, and the first NJCAA National Championship in school history. His 2024–2025 team finished 29–1, sweeping Region 3 and Mountain Valley Conference titles while earning him NJCAA National Coach of the Year, Region 3 Coach of the Year, and Conference Coach of the Year honors. Under Fuller’s leadership, Mohawk Valley became one of the nation’s most balanced programs, ranking first nationally in scoring defense (61.8 PPG allowed) and holding opponents to 36.3 percent shooting and 26.0 percent from three-point range. Offensively, the Hawks were among the top ten in the country in scoring (84.4 PPG), field-goal percentage (47.8%), and rebounding margin (+12.0), combining pace, precision, and toughness throughout their championship run. During his time at Mohawk Valley, Fuller coached several players who advanced to NCAA Division I programs, including Travis Gray (FIU/Wagner), Tyruse Boock (Iona), and Andre Pasha (New Haven). Before joining Bryant, Fuller spent three seasons (2018–2021) as an Assistant Coach at Siena College, contributing to one of the program’s most successful stretches in recent history. Siena captured MAAC Regular Season and Tournament titles, earned an NCAA Tournament berth, and developed 9 all conference standouts, and 2 Conference player of the year award winners.  Addtionally, Fuller helped recruit and develop Jalen Pickett (Denver Nuggets), Jordan King (Richmond / A-10 Player of the Year), and Aidan Carpenter (Sacred Heart) while overseeing offensive strategy, scouting, and player development. Fuller previously served as an Assistant Coach/Director of Scouting and Player Development Strategies at Mount St. Mary’s University, helping the program to an 18–14 record, the No. 2 seed in the Northeast Conference, and conference Player and Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2018. Earlier, he guided Mayfield High School (NY) to its first sectional appearance in seven years and coached on the AAU circuit with the Albany City Rocks, working with a number of future Division I athletes. A native of Broadalbin, New York, Fuller played collegiately at the two year level before heading the NCAA Division 1 level at Florida International University  before spending five seasons as a professional in Germany and Argentina, where he totaled 1,543 points, and 556 assists . He was inducted into the New York State Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023 and is the proud Father of 9 year old Grayson Fuller.

Derrick Wall

Assistant Coach

Derrick Wall begins his first season with the Bulldogs in 2025-26. He will serve as assistant coach and Director of Player Development. Wall has spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach at Hampton University, helping the Pirates go from 0-24 record in his first year to a 17-16 mark this winter. "Derrick has worked his way up the ladder to be an outstanding assistant coach," Christian said. "We first meet several years ago when I was amazed at his talent on his AAU team. All great kids who had great college careers. He later got connected and ran Team Loaded North Carolina, where he coached some of the top players in the country." Prior to his time at Hampton, Wall spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Catawba. During his four-year tenure at Catawba, the Chiefs posted an overall record of 65-45 (.590). They won the 2019 South Atlantic Conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament while posting a 25-8 (.758) record. Catawba recorded a 20-10 record and advanced to the NCAA Championships again in 2019-20. Wall began his coaching career as the associate head coach at Woodside High in Newport News, Va., helping lead the Wolverines to the No. 3 ranking in Class 6A as well as winning the district and regional championships. Simultaneously, he coached Team Loaded North Carolina in the prestigious Adidas Gauntlet Shoe Circuit.The team won 88 percent of their games and were ranked in the AAU Top 10 in the nation. Wall has tapped into his international contact to assist players fulfill their dream of playing professional basketball overseas. He has coached and mentored more than 40 players who have gone on to play Division I basketball as well play professionally in the NBA Euro League, Euro Cup, Adriatic League and other FIBA leagues.  "I'm excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the Bryant community and Coach Christian's staff," Wall said. "I'm looking forward to help carry on the winning tradition and helping these student-athletes on and off the court."

Morgan Williams

Assistant Coach

Morgan Williams begins his first season on Jamion Christian's staff in 2025-26. He will serve as head of player development and advanced scouting. Williams comes to Smithfield after spending the last three seasons at Seton Hall.. He has played key roles in Shaheen Holloway's program along with his duties as video coordinator. He helped organize team travel, team meals, and was the point person for Shaheen Holloway Basketball camps. His efforts helped Seton Hall men's basketball student-athletes achieve at least 10 wins in BIG EAST in two of his three seasons. Williams played an integral role with the 2023-24 Seton Hall Pirates that went 25-12 overall, 13-7 in the BIG EAST and won the 2024 NIT Championship. Williams previously served as Holloway's Director of Player Development/Recruiting Coordinator last at Saint Peter's. He also served as an assistant coach at Mount Aloysius College for three seasons. Prior to his time at Mount Aloysius, he worked on the staff of Mount St. Mary's University as head student manager from 2015-2018 and also served as a coordinator for the basketball's team camp. While at Mount St. Mary's, Williams helped coaches in practice, games and conditioning sessions. Williams graduated from Mount St. Mary's in 2018 with a degree in communications with a concentration in public relations.

Troy Cappos

Assistant Coach

Troy Cappos begins his first season as an assistant athletic trainer in 2023-24. Cappos comes to Bryant after spending the last year at Gordon College. At Gordon, Cappos worked with each of the Fighting Scots' 22 varsity sport programs. Cappos is a 2022 graduate of Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from Colby-Sawyer.

Brian Merritt

Assistant Coach

Brian Merritt begins his first season with the Bulldogs in 2025-26. In addition to his roles as an assistant coach, Merrtt will serve as General Manager and Recruiting Coordinator. Merritt brings 12 years of collegiate coaching experience, spanning the country, to Smithfield. His most recent post was at New Mexico State, while his coaching journey also includes stops at Morgan State, LSU, Arizona State, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Hampton and Louisville. "Brian knows where to look and who to talk to at all times," Christian said. "When you talk about someone being a hustler in recruiting and being connected, Brian's name will always come up. As we are looking to expand upon the recruiting footprint of the previous staff, I believe that Brian will consistently keep us relevant in different circles which is extremely important during this time."   He began his coaching career as the director of operations on Rick Pitino's staff at Louisville before spending a year at Hampton. Merritt helped Corpus Christi post back-to-back winning seasons before spending the next five years as the Director of Scouting/Recruiting at John Lucas Enterprises. He returned to the college ranks in 2015-16 as a member of Bobby Hurley's staff at Arizona State. Merritt has since coached at LSU, Morgan State and New Mexico State. "I am so happy to get the opportunity to come to Bryant and work for coach Christian," Merritt said. "The trajectory of the program on the rise and coach Christian's style of play is a perfect match. I have heard nothing but great things about the community from former players and coaches who have been there before, so I am excited about what we are going to be able to do at Bryant."

Bruce Shingler

Assistant Coach

Bruce Shingler begins his first season with the Bulldogs in 2025-26. Shingler will serve as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator. Shingler is a Prince George's County (Md.) native that has assistant coaching stops at Maryland, South Carolina, Towson, Morgan State and Kansas State. He spent five years at South Carolina as a member of Frank Martin's staff, helping the Gamecocks reach the Final Four in 2017. "Bruce comes to Bryant with an incredible resume for recruiting," Christian said. "He is well known in the DMV but also around the country for how well he connects with players. Bruce has worked with some of the most successful coaches, helping them establish a winning culture with talented individuals.   We look forward to him opening recruiting doors for us as we look to unlock the true potential of Bryant to the rest of the country."  Prior to his time at South Carolina, he spent four years at Towson, helping the Tigers set the NCAA Division I record for largest single-season turnaround, going from one win in 2011-12 to 18 in 2012-13. The Tigers went on to post 25 wins in 13-14 and 20 in 15-16. Shingler has deep roots in the DMV as he coached at his alma mater, Bladensburg High School, leading them to an 18-5 record in his lone season. He also coached AAU for the DC Assault 17U team, sending over 40 members to Division I institutions in his tenure, including McDonald's All-Americans Michael Beasley, Wally Judge and Quinn Cook. "I'm truly excited and thankful for the opportunity to join the Bryant Basketball program," Shingler said. "Working alongside Coach Jamion Christian—a proven leader, winner and exceptional basketball mind —is an honor. The culture here is strong, and I'm bringing every ounce of experience, passion, and energy I have to help take it to another level. I can't wait to lock in with our guys, build something special, and make this community proud."

Marc Rybczyk

Coach

Marc Rybczyk begins his first season with the Bulldogs in 2025-26. He will serve as Player Development and Advanced Scouting. Rybczyk brings 18 years of collegiate coaching experience across Division I, II and III, including three seasons as a head coach. His most recent stop was as an assistant and recruiting coordinator at St. Francis Brooklyn in 2022-23. Rybczyk spent the 2021-22 season with the Albany Patroons of The Basketball League (TBL) and 2013-19 as the head assistant at Niagara. Prior to his time at Niagara, Rybczyk spent three years as an assistant at Division II LIU Post (2010-13) and two seasons as the head coach at Southern Connecticut State University (2008-10).  Rybczyk's other stops include an interim head coaching stop at SUNY Cobleskill (2005-06) and five years as an assistant at the University of New Haven (2000-05). As a player, Rybczyk graduated from Central Connecticut in 1997 and still holds the single-game record with 11 three-point field goals. He ranks third in school history with 235 career threes.

TJ McEnaney

Coach

TJ McEnaney begins his first season with the Bulldogs in the 2025-2026 season. He will serve as the Special Assistant to the Head Coach.   McEnaney was hired as the Video Coordinator at the Community College of Rhode Island's Men's Basketball program. Before the 2024-2025 season, he was promoted to be one of the youngest Assistant Coaches in CCRI history.    Recently, McEnaney graduated with honors from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Sports Media/Communication and is currently earning a Master's Degree in Science at Liberty University.   McEnaney's coaching career began in AAU, winning the 2021 Jr. Celtics tournament twice in the same season with BCRI.   "I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to work alongside Coach Christian and such an established and experienced coaching staff. I am extremely eager to get to work and learn more every day."

David Bernstein

Coach

David is entering his second year on the Bryant University men's basketball coaching staff, his first as Chief of Staff.  In his first year, he served as the program’s Director of Basketball Innovation, helping guide the Bulldogs to an America East Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. A native Floridian, David began his basketball journey in South Florida, where he coached competitive travel basketball and developed a reputation for player development and strategic game planning. He is a proud graduate of the University of North Florida, where he earned his degree in Supply Chain Logistics, graduating summa cum laude. While at UNF, he served as a student manager for the men’s basketball team, gaining hands-on experience and building a foundation for his career in collegiate athletics. Currently, David is pursuing his MBA while supporting the Bulldogs’ program through program operations and innovation. His passion for the game, combined with a deep understanding of logistics and strategy, makes him a vital member of the Bryant coaching staff.
