Nikki Whitlock
Head Coach
Whitlock looks forward to the newcomers on the team who will add more depth to the returning squad. We have a determined team that is focused on personal improvement goals and breaking team records along with increasing our competitiveness in the Centennial Conference." Named the 2010 Centennial Conference Womens Coach of the Year, Whitlock has continued to build a stronger program at Bryn Mawr. In her first seven years at the helm, over 30 swimmers were named to the All-Academic Centennial Conference team; 11 team records broken; three All-Seven Sisters athletes (2010 & 2011); and coached one 2011 Centennial Conference Champion in the 100-yard butterfly, Meredith Davis. Whitlock, a former Division I full-scholarship standout at George Washington University, came to Bryn Mawr following a 15-year career in the aerospace industry. While at GWU, Whitlock was a four-year letter winner and co-captained in her junior and senior years. Her specialties were distance and butterfly. Along with being an athlete, Whitlock also served at the GWU athletic mascot for her last three years of her college career. Over several years, Coach Whitlock has coached several summer league teams, competitive age-group programs and also served as a technician at competitive swim clinics. In May 2007, Whitlock completed her masters in Sport & Athletic Administration at West Chester University in PA where she was the graduate assistant for the MSA Program Director. Whitlock is a native of Chester County, PA and lives on her family farm compound with her mom, her brother and his family and her darling black cat named Harriette.
