Hired at Buffalo State: Fall 2017 Prior to Buffalo State: Head Coach - Russell Sage College (2012-17) Head Coach - Chico State (2006-09) Head Coach - East Stroudsburg (2003-06) Head Coach - Skidmore (2002) Alma Mater: Buffalo State '99 (Bachelor's) University at Albany (Master's) Jamie Brown completed her ninth year as head coach of the Buffalo State softball program in 2025-26, leading the Bengals to a fourth straight SUNYAC Tournament appearance and a second trip to the SUNYAC Championship Game. In 2025, Brown earned her 100th career win at Buffalo State during THE Spring Games against Edgewood and earned her 400th career win overall as a head coach later that season against Fredonia. The 2026 season featured their best season since 2009 along with Brown and her staff begin recognized as the Sandra Hollander SUNYAC Coaching Staff of the Year.   Brown officially became the eighth head coach in the history of Buffalo State softball program on Oct. 1, 2017. In her time at Buffalo State, Brown has coached the SUNYAC Julie Lenhart Player of the Year in Oriana Castello in 2021, as well as 29 All-SUNYAC selections, and five NFCA All-Region members. Brown picked up her 300th career win during the 2019 season and has led the Bengals to the SUNYAC postseason in four of her first six seasons at the helm. She and her staff were also honored as the Sandra Hollander SUNYAC Coaching Staff of the Year in 2021. Julia Blujus

Assistant Coach

Blujus will serve as the primary assistant for the Buffalo State softball team for the 2026 season. She rejoins the Bengals after a stellar playing career from 2016-2019.   Blujus played 125 games across four seasons for the Bengals with a .346 average, 133 hits, 19 doubles, two home runs, and 39 RBI. She also tallied 96 runs scored, 25 stolen bases, and a .438 slugging percentage. Blujus was a two-time All-SUNYAC selection earning First Team honors in 2018 and Second Team in 2019. Blujus was part of three postseason appearances for Buffalo State including a runner-up finish in 2016.
