Nick Weisheipl is in his seventh year as head baseball coach in 2022-23, after being named the program's first head baseball coach in August 2015. Weisheipl and the Cavaliers finished the 2022 season with a 31-11 record, including 13-5 in conference, to match the team's best overall record in program history. The second seeded Cavaliers defeated Gwynedd Mercy in the opening round of the league's postseason tournament but bowed out with a pair of losses to Immaculata University and Marymount University. Starting pitcher, senior Jonathan Baker, was named the programs first Rawlings Gold Glove recipient.  The Cavaliers reached unprecedented heights in 2019, as the Blue and White posted a 31-11 overall record, including 11-1 in the Atlantic East Conference. In just the program's third season, Cabrini earned the number one seed in the league's postseason tournament. In 2018, Weisheipl and the Cavaliers built on the success of their first year, posting a 20-19 record, a 10 win improvement over 2017, among the nation's best single season improvements. The Blue and White also made its first appearance in the CSAC Tournament, claiming the fourth seed after a sweep of Marywood on the final day of the regular season. Weisheipl and the Cavaliers made their debut on Feb. 19, 2017 with a pair of wins over Penn State-Brandywine. Cabrini went on to finish its inaugural season with a 10-22 record, one that included wins over 2016 NCAA runner-up Keystone and a victory over Eagle Road rival Eastern in the first ever game played at Cabrini-Carroll Baseball Field. Weisheipl came to Cabrini College after two seasons at West Chester University, where he helped lead the Golden Rams to the 2015 NCAA Regional; guiding the offense to a nearly 30 point improvement in team batting average.  The 2015 squad produced St. Louis Cardinals draft pick and PSAC East Division Player of the Year Dylan Tice, along with three other all-conference selections. Prior to West Chester, Weisheipl was the pitching coach, recruiting coordinator, and director of camps for Villanova University.  During his time at Villanova, Weisheipl developed four pitchers who were drafted into professional baseball, significantly increased youth and prospect camp attendance, assisted in summer league placements, and spear headed national level recruiting. Before coming to the Philadelphia area, Weisheipl was named the head coach at Notre Dame College following one season as the pitching coach, recruiting coordinator, and academic liaison at the school. In his three seasons as head coach, the team established program records for the most wins and highest winning percentage in a season. Most recently, his 2011 squad had eight players garner all-conference honors and the team was honored as an NAIA Scholar Team with a team grade-point average above 3.0. During the 2010 season, Weisheipl led the Falcons to the program's first-ever winning season. He posted a 28-20 record for the year, an improvement of 18 wins from the previous season. In addition to setting a program record for wins in a season and the highest finish in the conference standings, the 2010 team rewrote the program's offensive record book and set top marks in nearly every offensive category. Seven players were named all-conference selections, including two freshmen who were first team picks. During his tenure as head coach, Weisheipl signed more than 85 players while drastically improving and creating new on-campus training facilities. He also established relationships with area Major League Baseball scouts and consistently placed his players in top collegiate summer leagues throughout the country. Among his other achievements as head coach, Weisheipl developed a fundraising event responsible for a significant amount of support for the program. He also represented the athletic department in NCAA accreditation interviews, created a year-long strength & conditioning program, and established international recruiting pipelines in Canada, Germany, and the Dominican Republic.  Weisheipl also earned a Masters of Arts in Education from NDC. Weisheipl spent the 2008 season as the pitching coach at NDC and helped the team's pitching staff lower its earned run average by two runs from the previous season. That year the team set a program record for its highest winning percentage, a mark which Weisheipl would go on to break as a head coach. He also created a study program which resulted in the baseball team's highest-ever GPA and was part of a team that refined and implemented a progress report system for all student-athletes at the school. Prior to arriving at Notre Dame College, Weisheipl spent the 2007 season as an assistant coach at Wisconsin-Stout and was the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator for three years at Clarke College (now Clarke University). In his year at Wisconsin-Stout, he coached the WIAC Player of the Year and helped the team reach the conference tournament for the first time, upsetting the league's top seed in the first round of the tournament. In three seasons at Clarke College, he coached the NIIC Conference Player of the Year, as the team set over 70 individual, team and single-game records. Weisheipl also has coached with the Eau Claire Express and the La Crosse Loggers, of the Northwoods League, a summer collegiate league that consistently attracts top college players, many of whom have gone on to enjoy success at the professional level.  Notably, Weisheipl coached current MLB players Jordan Zimmermann, Kole Calhoun, and Jordan Pacheco. A student-athlete in his own right, Weisheipl is a 2002 graduate of Beloit College where he was a two-time Team Player of the Year and a two-time academic all-conference selection. He batted .333 during his collegiate career and held six school records at the time of his graduation. He was named the team's Most Improved Player during his career, won the Team Academic Award, and was presented the athletic department’s Joe Kobylka Sportsmanship and Team Spirit Award. Following his graduation from Beloit, Weisheipl played professionally in Germany for the Regensburg Legionaere as a shortstop and pitcher. Playing in Germany's 1st Bundesliga, he was the league leader in runs scored, walks, and on-base percentage and also ranked among the league leaders in stolen bases, assists, double plays, and saves. Regensburg won the 2003 Bayern Pokal and Deutsche Pokal national championship. Weisheipl, his wife Megan, and daughters Codi and Devney, reside in Jeffersonville, PA.

Assistant Professor of Education Director of District and School Relations in the School of Education Ronald W. Whitaker, II, EdD, joined Cabrini in 2015, and currently serves as Assistant Professor and the Director of District and School Relations in the School of Education. He specializes in culturally responsive pedagogy, urban education, educational programming for black males, and issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Whitaker presents his research at both national and international scholarly conferences, and also within K-12 educational milieus. He is revered amongst colleagues for engaging in “courageous conversations” in a respectful manner. For 15 years, he has led various programming for black boys and men. Whitaker has been involved in prison ministry for five years and speaks regularly in churches and community organizations. Whitaker completed his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at Duquesne University, where his dissertation explored the intersection of Black male identity, systemic inequalities and racism, and improvement science, through the lens of social justice. He also earned a master’s degree in Education at the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in Business Administration at Eastern University, and undergraduate degrees in Urban Leadership and Biblical Studies at Geneva College where he graduated magna cum laude.
