Kamansky was selected as the NABC and Division II Bulletin National Coach of the Year in 2009-10 and is a five-time CCAA Coach of the Year, most recently in 2017-18, and three-time NABC West Region Coach of the Year. Prior to Kamansky’s appointment, the Broncos experienced postseason play in just three seasons in the first 52 years of CPP basketball. Kamansky became the 10th head coach in the program’s history just prior to the 2000-01 campaign after two seasons as an assistant coach for the Broncos. Before coming to Cal Poly Pomona, Kamansky was an assistant men’s basketball coach and assistant athletic director at Fresno Pacific University from 1993-98, working in every aspect of the Sunbirds’ basketball program. He was a four-year letterman at UC San Diego and earned NCAA Division III All-America recognition in 1987 and earned all-region honors twice. Kamansky completed his playing career as the school’s second-leading all-time scorer and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Management Science from UC San Diego in 1988. He earned his MBA from San Diego State in 1993.  Kamansky has long ties to the area. His grandfather, Joe, attended Chaffey College and was a San Bernardino County supervisor. His father, Jerry, attended Chaffey High School. Greg Kamansky attended Arcadia High School.  Kamansky Through the Years SEASON INSTITUTION OVERALL CCAA PLACE 2000-01 Cal Poly Pomona 17-10 13-9 5th 2001-02 Cal Poly Pomona 18-9 15-7 3rd 2002-03 Cal Poly Pomona 23-8 16-6 3rd 2003-04 Cal Poly Pomona 21-7 17-5 3rd 2004-05 Cal Poly Pomona 24-7 16-4 1st 2005-06 Cal Poly Pomona 17-10 13-7 3rd 2006-07 Cal Poly Pomona 20-8 16-6 3rd 2007-08 Cal Poly Pomona 13-15 10-10 8th 2008-09 Cal Poly Pomona 25-8 15-5 1st 2009-10 Cal Poly Pomona 28-6 18-4 1st 2010-11 Cal Poly Pomona 17-11 13-9 4th 2011-12 Cal Poly Pomona 19-8 15-7 2nd 2012-13 Cal Poly Pomona 28-3 20-2 1st 2013-14 Cal Poly Pomona 22-7 19-3 2nd 2014-15 Cal Poly Pomona 24-7 17-5 2nd 2015-16 Cal Poly Pomona 22-8 14-6 3rd 2016-17 Cal Poly Pomona 12-13 10-10 7th 2017-18 Cal Poly Pomona 23-7 18-4 1st 2018-19 Cal Poly Pomona 21-7 17-5 t-1st 2019-20 Cal Poly Pomona 23-7 17-5 2nd 2020-21 Cal Poly Pomona COVID-19 2021-22 Cal Poly Pomona 13-10 9-8 6th 2022-23 Cal Poly Pomona 12-14 9-13 8th 2023-24 Cal Poly Pomona 10-16 9-13 8th 2024-25 Cal Poly Pomona 18-11 13-9 5th OVERALL (23 seasons) 470-217 (.687) 349-162 (.683)    NCAA Division II National Champions  NCAA Tournament Appearance

Noah Ralby

Assistant Coach

Noah Rably enters his second season as the assistant coach of the Cal Poly Pomona men’s basketball team for the 2025-26 season. In his first year on the Broncos' coaching staff, Rably helped guide the team to an 18–11 record (.621 winning percentage) and a return to the CCAA Tournament in 2025 — the program's first appearance since 2022.   Ralby previously served as the Video & Analytics Coordinator for men’s basketball at the University of Washington, after spending two seasons as the Director of Analytics for men’s basketball at Utah State.   In Ralby’s lone year at Washington, the Huskies went 17-15 while making an appearance in the Pac-12 Tournament and two players earning Pac-12 honors. While at Utah State, the Aggies reached the NCAA tournament in 2023, and the NIT the year prior, while earning three All-Conference selections. Prior to working with the Aggies, Ralby served as a graduate assistant at UMBC for two seasons, where he helped guide the Retrievers to their second regular-season championship in school history in 2021.   “I am thrilled to be joining the CPP community,” said Ralby. “CPP men’s basketball’s championship pedigree and commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes made it stand out as an incredible opportunity. I look forward to helping Coach Kamansky and Coach Hill continue to compete for championships.”   Ralby graduated from Johns Hopkins with a bachelor’s degree in economics, helping the Blue Jays men’s basketball program to a 71-32 mark and a Centennial Conference regular-season and tournament title in 2018. JHU advanced to the second round of the 2018 NCAA D-III Men's Basketball Tournament as Ralby earned NABC Honors Court accolades following the season. He later earned a master’s degree in entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership from UMBC.
