California State University - Bakersfield Women's Soccer

Martin Navarro Jr. enters his fourth season with the Cal State Bakersfield women's soccer team in Fall of 2025 and serves the Roadrunners as Associate Head Coach. Navarro has been with the team since 2022 when he began his coaching career as a graduate assistant coach at CSUB in 2022. He was promoted in the Summer of 2023 as an Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach and became the Associate Head Coach in January 2026. Navarro helped guide the `Runners to the Big West Championship match in 2024, the first in the program's Division I history. In his four seasons in Bakersfield, CSUB has produced 17 All-Conference recognitions and 39 Academic All-Conference honorees. Navarro is a CSUB double alumnus, earning both bachelor's and master's degrees. He received the award for Most Outstanding Student in his major for his graduating class as Navarro excelled in academics and involvement in research. He also was president of the CSUB Men’s soccer club for three years during his undergraduate career.     A Bakersfield native, Navarro has been coaching for nearly a decade in the club and high school level. He currently holds the US Soccer C License, Performance Analysis Diploma, and multiple other diplomas through United Soccer Coaches.
