13th Season (in 2024-25) University of San Diego '92 Record at Stan State (through 2022 season): 125-179 (12 Seasons) Career College Coaching Record: Same Wayman Strickland was named Stanislaus State's sixth women's basketball head coach on July 27, 2012, and began his post on Aug. 1. In 2013-14, he led the Warriors to one of the best turn-around seasons in program history, going from 2-25 to 13-13 and just missing out on the CCAA tournament. The women's basketball program has reached the CCAA Championship tournament in each of the last two seasons. In February of 2017, the Warriors posted their first postseason victory since 1990 and advanced to the CCAA semifinals. Prior to his arrival on the CSU Stanislaus campus, Strickland was the assistant coach for the women's basketball program at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton between 2009 and 2012. He also served as an instructor in physical education and counselor to the student-athletes. Prior to his stint at Delta College, Strickland was the varsity girls coach (2007-09) and varsity boys assistant coach (2002-07) at Stockton's Edison High School. Strickland spent nine years as a professional player in Europe and Asia. His accolades include being named the top point guard in the Asian Basketball Championships three times (1996-98). He was the most valuable player of the 1997 Asian Basketball Championships. Strickland was a four-year starter at the University of San Diego from 1988 to 1992, when he amassed 1,040 career points. Currently, he still holds the third spot in the USD record book with 408 assists. As a prep player, Strickland was a standout at San Francisco's Archbishop Riordan High School, where he was the 1988 San Francisco Bay Area player of the year. Strickland obtained his Bachelor's degree in communications with a minor in business administration from USD in 1992. Riley Holladay

Holladay returned to her alma mater in the Summer of 2023 as an assistant women's basketball coach after spending the past six months as the Director of Storm Nike NV in Reno, Nev., where she coached the 12u and 14u teams. While a member of the staff at Storm Nike NV, which is an affiliate of Cal Storm EYBL, she coached and developed top middle school talent in the Mountain West Region to compete at top tournaments on the West Coast. In addition to her being the Director of the Storm Nike in Nevada, Holladay was the Assistant Director and Head Coach of the Nevada Basketball Academy since 2017. As the Head Coach of the Nevada Basketball Academy (Girls’ AAU Program in Reno, Nev.), Holladay coached, trained, and developed top high school prospects in the Northern Nevada area. From 2019 to 2021, she was the Licensed Social Worker for the Men’s Crossroads Program for the Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada. Holladay has worked for the Washoe County Department of Juvenile Services from 2018 to 2019. While at Stan State, Holladay was a Group Facilitator for Jessica’s House in Turlock, Calif., from 2015 to 2017. The Sparks, Nev., native was a member of the Warriors women’s basketball team from 2013 to 2017. She finished her career averaging 8.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Holladay is the Warriors’ career leader in starts (105) and games played (109). She finished third in career minutes (3194). The newest member to the Warrior coaching staff, Holladay is fifth (career rebounds, 661), fifth (career assists, 236), eighth (career blocks, 53), ninth (career steals, 140), and 12th (career points, 867) on the Warrior all-time career lists.
