Miranda Denney

Assistant Coach

Entering 2025-26: 19th Year Alma Mater: Campbellsville ('05) Updated: May 2024 Miranda Denney enters 19th year as a full-time assistant coach under Head Coach Ginger High Colvin. Hootie (as she is known), has a true passion for the game of basketball and for Campbellsville University. As a Lady Tiger, Denney played four seasons under legendary Head Coach Donna Wise. She was a member of two regular season conference championship teams and a member of one conference tournament championship team. Denney competed in the NAIA National Tournament all four years of her playing career, and she led her team into the quarterfinals of the National Tournament from the point guard position in her freshman season. Over the 19 seasons Denney has been working with the Lady Tigers Basketball program, she has been part of 316 of Coach High Colvin's 335 wins as the two have combined for a .821 winning percentage. Over that span, LTB has also earned six Mid-South Conference regular season championships, nine appearances in the MSC Tournament Championship and three MSC Tournament Championship wins.  Denney and High Colvin have taken Campbellsville women's basketball to the NAIA National Tournament in every season since 2008-09 with wins in all but two appearances with two trips to the Fab Four and an trip to the National Championship game in 2014-15. Hootie was a gritty, hard-working player who always drew the toughest defensive assignment from the guard spot. She competed at the highest level every time she stepped onto the floor. Off the floor, she also made her mark on Campbellsville University. Denney was named Valedictorian of the CU senior class in 2005. She was also named Ms. Campbellsville in that same senior season. Throughout the course of her career on the hardwood, Hootie was named an Academic All-American twice and was also named to the Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference three times.  She graduated from Campbellsville University with a 4.0 GPA. Upon graduation, she completed her Master’s Degree in Education. She currently teaches in the math department at Campbellsville University. Hootie is a tireless worker who is willing to go the extra mile for others. She is actively involved in the recruiting process, and is also a key contributor in the scouting process. Organized, efficient, and always willing to go out of her way for others. Denney has been a huge piece of the puzzle for the Lady Tigers over the last seven seasons. In the 2021-22 season, she was named the WBCA NAIA Assistant Coach of the Year Named Mid-South Conference Asisstant Coach of the Year in 2024 and 2025.

Ginger High Colvin

Coach

Entering 2025-26: 19th Year as head coach, 33rd overall Alma Mater: Campbellsville ('90) Cumulative Record: 505-102 (.831) A cornerstone of Campbellsville University women's basketball for over three decades, Ginger High Colvin enters her 19th season as head coach in 2025-26, continuing a legacy of remarkable success. An alumna of Campbellsville ('90) and a member of the Athletics Hall of Fame, Colvin has solidified the Lady Tigers' position as a national powerhouse, boasting an impressive cumulative record of 505-102 (.831). Her leadership has guided the team to 17 consecutive NAIA National Tournament appearances, including two Fab Four runs and a National Championship game, underscoring her status as one of the nation's elite coaches, evidenced by her back-to-back WBCA National Coach of the Year awards in 2023 and 2024. Under Colvin's guidance, the Lady Tigers have become synonymous with postseason success. The pinnacle of this success came in the 2014-15 season when she led the team to its first-ever NAIA National Championship game appearance, finishing as the National Runner-Up with a program-tying 33 wins. Another historic run occurred in 2016-17, as the Lady Tigers reached the NAIA Fab Four after upsetting the tournament's top-seeded team, Freed-Hardeman. Throughout her tenure, her teams have consistently been a force in the Mid-South Conference, capturing numerous regular season and tournament championships. Colvin's coaching journey at Campbellsville is a story of ascension. After a decorated playing career for the Lady Tigers, she began her coaching career as a part-time assistant under her mentor, Donna Wise, from 1991 to 2003. During that time, she also took the helm at Campbellsville High School, transforming a struggling program into a regional contender and capturing the school's first-ever district titles. She returned to the university as a full-time assistant in 2003 and was the clear successor when Wise retired, becoming only the second head coach in the program's storied history in 2007. Her time as a student-athlete at Campbellsville was equally illustrious. A four-time All-Conference selection, Colvin was named a Third-Team All-American and the KIAC Player of the Year in 1990. A prolific playmaker, she still holds the NAIA national record for the highest career assist average (8.2) and owns the Campbellsville program records for assists in a game (16), season (305), and career (865). Coach Colvin resides in Campbellsville and has a son, Kobe.
