Chance Green
Assistant Coach
The 2025 season will be Chance Green's first season on staff as the Capital Football Quarterbacks Coach. Green joined the Capital staff in the summer of 2025 after spending the past three years on staff at Greensboro College. Green was hired at Greensboro as the Quarterbacks Coach, Passing Game Coordinator and Special Teams Coordinator before being promoted to Offensive Coordinator in February 2023. Throughout his tenure at GC, Green has a had in mentoring seven All-Conference players and mentoring his QB to national rankings in multiple categories. Prior to coaching at Greensboro, Coach Green spent four seasons on staff at Albright College where he was the Running Backs and Slot Receivers Coach. There, he mentored two All-Conference players. In 2019, he added responsibilities as the Head JV Coach as well. Before coaching at Albright, Green spent a season working as the Assistant Offensive Line Coach at his alma mater, Guilford College. As a student-athlete at Guilford, Green played Tight End after making a transition from Quarterback early in his career. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics which he earned from Guilford in 2015.

D.L. Knock
Assistant Coach
D.L. Knock makes the jump to Capital University after most recently working as the wide receivers coach and special teams coordinator at Alderson Broaddus University. There, Knock oversaw the team’s equipment operations and was an academic advisor for his position group. He also coached a freshman to All-Conference honors in 2022. Prior to joining AB, Knock was the wide receivers coach and pass game/special teams coordinator at Waynesburg University. Prior to working on the offensive side of the ball, Knock spent the 2020 season coaching linebackers for Waynesburg. Knock was an academic advisor for his position group and helped organize and run the team’s weight training program. As a collegiate player, Knock played his red shirt year at West Virginia University in 2015 prior to playing the final four years of his career at Ohio University. With WVU, Knock was a member of the 2015 Cactus Bowl Champion team. At OU, Knock was an All-Conference selection and helped the team to the 2016 MAC Championship and Dollar General Bowl Championship. Additionally, Knock helped the Bobcats to trophies in the 2017 Bahamas Bowl, 2018 Frisco Bowl, and 2020 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Knock played his high school ball at Springboro High School where he was a 2023 Hall of Fame inductee. He helped his team to a 28-2 regular season record during his tenure and was an All-State selection and team captain.

Nick Fisanick

The 2025 season will be Nick Fisanick's second year on the coaching staff for Capital football. A decorated student-athlete and December 2023 graduate of Capital University, Fisanick transitioned to a coaching role, overseeing the Comets' linebacking unit for the 2024 season on Coach Brian Foos' staff. Prior to the 2025 season, Fisanick was elevated into a full-time assistant coaching role and has continued on the defensive side of the ball. As a player for the Comets, Fisanick was a two-time All-OAC selection as a linebacker. Across his career, Nick amassed 324 total tackles on the heels of 145 solo stops and 179 tackle assists. Of those tackles, 17.5 were for a loss and three were recorded as sacks. Additionally, Fisanick ended his career with two interceptions, 12 pass break-ups, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Nick is a native of nearby Upper Arlington, Ohio and completed his degree in business from Capital.

Ayden Langford
Assistant Coach
Ayden Langford enters his first season as an assistant football coach at Capital in 2025. Langford joins the Comets after a undergraduate career at the University of the South where he played four years as an offensive lineman and spent one year as a student assistant coach working with the O-Line. Langford was a member of the team's leadership committee as a player and then went on to pass on his leadership and position knowledge to the team after concluding his playing career. As a student coach, he mentored one All-Conference offensive lineman at Sewanee. Langofrd holds a Bachelor's Degree from Sewanee in Environmental Arts and Humanities. He was also a member of the Sewanee Academic Honor Society "Order of the Gown".

Evan Nunez
Assistant Coach
Evan Nunez enters his fourth season on staff at Capital University in 2025. He coached his first three seasons with the Purple and White from 2021 to 2023. Nunez, who comes to Capital from Las Vegas, has prior experience at both the collegiate and high school ranks. He had two stints at Eldorado High School in Las Vegas. In his first time there, he served as Associate Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers coach. In his return, Nunez was the team's Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator, Secondary Coach and Travel Coordinator. In between stints at Eldorado, Nunez was on staff as the Co-Defensive Coordinator, Secondary Coach, Camp Director, Equipment Manager and Academic Liaison for Trinity International University in Illinois. There, he coached three safeties to the NAIA All-Star Game and coached a safety to All-Conference and All-American honors. Before his first time at Eldorado, Nunez was the Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach at University High School in San Diego from 2015-2017. Nunez received his education from Ashford University in San Diego and Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. He currently resides in Reynoldsburg with his wife, Chelsie, and four kids -- Evan, Nehemiah, Desiree, Sienna.

Charles Alexander
Coach
Charles Alexander will begin his first season on the Comets' coaching staff in 2024. He will serve as the Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs coach. Alexander arrives back in Columbus with 20 years of collegiate coaching experience. He most recently served as the Defensive Coordinator at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. There, Alexander helped the program improve statistically in many key categories within their conference while also coaching one All-Conference player. Prior to Morehouse, Alexander held coaching positions at Avila University, Ellsworth Community College, Missouri Southern State University, East Stroudsburg University, Lehigh University, Gettysburg College, Villanova University and Clarion University. His time as an assistant coach was highlighted by earning the Assistant Coach of the Year award in 2022 from the KCAC conference – a year in which he aided Avila to their second conference championship. Alexander is no stranger to central Ohio as he attended Newark High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State in 2002. He went on to earn his master’s degree from Clarion University in 2006 as well.
