Andy Garcia
Head Coach
Garcia was elevated to become the head coach of the mens golf program after four years as the teams assistant coach. In his first year at the helm, Garcia led the Crusaders the second-place finish in the OAC Championship Tournament after heading into the final day just a few strokes out of first. After the tournament, Garcia saw four of his student-athletes named all-conference for their top-10 individual placements. With Garcia on staff, Daniel Shafer is now a three-time All-OAC honoree heading into his senior year. The Crusaders placed second in the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season standings in 2013-14 and third at the OAC Championship. Capital finished just 10 strokes shy of the tournament title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship. Clay Rice, Daniel Shafer and Jeff Czerniakowski placed in the top-10 at the OAC Championship to earn all-conference accolades, while Mark Williams garnered Academic All-OAC for his performance off the course. In 2012-13, Capital placed third in the OAC during the regular season and fifth at the conference championship tournament. Freshman Daniel Shafer earned All-OAC accolades by virtue of his share of a ninth-place finish at the OAC Championship, while Williams garnered his second straight Academic All-OAC honor. 2014-15 (men's) 5th/8 (1,268) 2nd/8 (1,202)
