Mark Goldin
Head Coach
Goldin led both teams to the NAIA Tournament. The mens squad (20-8) earned a national ranking for the first time in program history. Meanwhile, the Stritch women (22-3) advanced to the third round of the national tournament. After winning both CCAC titles, Goldin received ITA National Womens Coach of the Year. Goldin played at UW-Green Bay, where he was a four-year member of the Phoenix tennis team. He played No. 1 and No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles all four years. Goldin was named to the All-Horizon League Team three times. Prior to UWGB, Goldin played across the street from Stritch at Nicolet High School, where he led the Knights to a state championship and was runner-up in the state tournament. Goldin has also been earning his stripes as a coach. In August 2008, he was thrust into head coaching duties at Green Bay, as the programs head coach resigned just before the season. After spending a year as the Phoenix coach, Goldin returned home to coach at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. An assistant with the Panthers for three years, he was a part of a program that went from five team wins, 39 individual wins and a 2-6 conference record to 13 team wins, 126 individual wins and a 6-2 Horizon League record for third place, the best in school history. Goldin founded the Smack Tennis Academy in Milwaukee, where he trains high school athletes and develops them into NCAA Division I players and beyond.
