Rob Retzlaff
Head Coach
Retzlaff was named head golf coach at Carroll University on August 17, 2011. Since his appointment, the Pioneers golf programs have enjoyed many successful seasons with accolades that include Midwest Conference Championships, NCAA Tournament appearances and national rankings. Among his Carroll coaching accomplishments are womens league titles in 2011 and 2012 and a mens title in 2012. With those titles the Pioneers also earned the MWCs automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. Retzlaffs 2011 womens team ranked as high as No. 16 in the national ranking by Golfstat. Retzlaff joined Carroll following over 20 years of post-college golf experience, most recently as the assistant boys golf coach at Brookfield Academy High School. The former standout student-athlete for the University of Wisconsin men's golf program has also been the 1st Assistant Golf Professional at the Ozaukee Country Club and Milwaukee Country Club. Following his career with the Badgers, Retzlaff spent the next seven years in the Professional Golf Association's Apprenticeship Program. Retzlaff was a golf professional from 1991-2004 and earned his PGA membership in 1996. As a professional, he made five Royal Cup teams and was a member of the 1997 WPGA Nelthorpe Cup team. In 2007 he regained amateur status and still plays competitively in amateur and club events.
