Castleton University Women's Ice Hockey

Moberg is in her third season as the head coach of the Castleton women's hockey program, after leading the program to new heights a year ago. Last season the Spartans were ranked nationally in both D3hockey.com and USCHO.com polls for the first time in program history, reaching as high as No. 6 in the nation. Castleton earned the program's first victories over nationally ranked Middlebury and Norwich to claim the second seed in the NEHC Tournament. The Spartans fell in the semifinals, but still finished with a school-record 17 victories. Moberg helped season Jess Cameron earn All-America honors from both D3hockey.com and the ACHA, while have three players earn all-conference honors. In her first year, Moberg led Castleton to a 14-12-2 record. The team earned the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament and upset Salve Regina in the semifinals before falling to Norwich 1-0 in the Championship. Moberg was a two-time All-American at Plattsburgh St. and came to Castleton after spending a season as an assistant with the Colby women's hockey team. In her lone season with the Mules, she helped them to a 10-14-2 record, including an upset of No. 2 seed Amherst in the NESCAC Quarterfinals. Prior to Colby, Moberg served as an assistant at Connecticut College for two seasons where she helped the Camels to a pair of winning seasons.  A 2010 graduate of Plattsburgh St., Moberg was an American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) First Team All-American in 2009 and 2010. She was the runner-up for National Player of the Year honors in 2010 and was named the ECAC West Player of the Year in 2010 as well.  Moberg won NCAA Division III titles in 2007 and 2008 with the Cardinals and over her career the team amassed an impressive 97-11-7 record. Individually, the forward finished her career with 59 goals and 74 assists for 133 points. Off the ice, she was a three-time ECAC West All-Academic Selection. Moberg has worked at numerous hockey camps in Toronto, Vancouver, Lake Placid, Princeton University, Hamilton College, and Clarkson University. She has also been a USA Hockey National Camp intern coach (2011) and has been a USA Hockey New York District evaluator on three occasions.
