Jeff Bolender
Head Coach
Bolender guided CU to the inaugural Great Midwest Athletic Conference mens outdoor title in 2014. He was voted the G-MAC Coach of the Year. The 2015 season was even more successful. The mens program swept the G-MAC indoor and outdoor championships while the women were the outdoor winners. Bolender was named G-MAC Coach of the Year each time. Cedarville also had its first-ever NCAA All-American in track in 2015 when Carsyn Koch was the Division II Outdoor Womens 800 meter runner-up. The Jackets experienced an outstanding track & field campaign in 2012. Cedarville won the NCCAA Womens Indoor Championship for the fifth time in school history while the men were the outdoor runner-up. Both teams won the Ohio Independent Championship. Bolender guided the Lady Jackets to three consecutive NCCAA Indoor Championships from 2007 through 2009, the 2007 outdoor title, and back-to-back American Mideast Conference crowns in 2008 and 2009. His 2007 womens squad was the NAIA national outdoor runner-up plus he owns a three NAIA Top 10 finishes indoors and two more outdoors. The Yellow Jacket men claimed NCCAA indoor banners in 2006 and 2007 as well as the 2011 NCCAA outdoor and AMC titles. Cedarville also finished in the NAIA Top 10 twice indoors and once outdoors. Bolenders first womens cross country team placed 10th in the NAIA in 2010 and they were also the American Mideast Conference runner-up. The Lady Jackets won the inaugural Great Midwest Athletic Conference title in 2012 followed by additional trophies in both 2013, 2014, and 2015. A four-year track & cross country performer before graduating from Cedarville College in 1991, Bolender later spent five years at Mount St. Clare College in Clinton, Iowa. He developed the school's track and cross country programs, and he served as chair of the Physical Education Department. Prior to his tenure at Mount St. Clare, Bolender was a graduate assistant for two years at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He earned a Master of Science degree in education at the school in 1996. Bolender taught health and physical education at Maranatha Christian Schools in Columbus, Ohio from 1991 through 1994 and was promoted to the position of athletic director his final year. He commuted to Cedarville during his first two years at Maranatha to assist with the Yellow Jacket distance running program. Jeff and his wife, Sharie, who was an NCCAA All-America distance runner with the Jackets, reside in Cedarville with their three children: a son, Daniel, 20; older daughter, Molly, 19, who is a sophomore member of the Lady Jacket track team; and younger daughter, Isabelle, 15. Paul Orchard
Assistant Coach
Orchard took his 2012 mens cross country team all the way to the NCAA Division II Championship - the first CU team in any sport to appear in an NCAA championship event. The Yellow Jackets placed 15th in the country after winning the inaugural Great Midwest Athletic Conference title. Cedarville repeated the feat in 2013 by returning to the NCAA to finish 15th. The trip also featured the schools first-ever NCAA All-American in any sport by virtue of Matt Brooker placing 28th in the country. It was all preceded by CU winning its second straight G-MAC crown. The Yellow Jackets captured both the 2014 and 2015 G-MAC cross country trophies as well as the 2015 NCCAA banner. Senior Benjamin Tuttle placed 16th in the 2015 Division II Championship for NCAA All-America honors after winning both the Midwest Region and conference individual crowns. The Jackets won the 2010 NCCAA Championship under Orchards leadership which was their first title in 25 years. They were the 2011 NCCAA runner-up. Cedarville finished among the Top 25 NAIA schools in the country each year during Orchards tenure. CU was ranked as high as 20th in the national poll in 2010, its final year in the association, and ran to a 15th-place showing at the NAIA Championship. CU had an outstanding season in 2006 under Orchard. They were rated as high as 8th in the NAIA national poll and placed 10th at the NAIA Championship. CU was the runner-up in the NCCAA, NAIA Region IX, and AMC meets. The Yellow Jackets enjoyed notable success during Orchard's track & field tenure. He led the Lady Jackets to an unprecedented five straight NCCAA outdoor banners from 1994 through 1998 and one Mid-Ohio Conference title. He guided the men to the AMC title in 2001, an MOC championship in 1994, and three NCCAA outdoor runner-up showings. Orchard is a five-time NCCAA Women's Coach of the Year. He was voted the men's AMC Coach of the Year for 2001, was named MOC men's Coach of the Year in 1994, and was women's Coach of the Year in 1996 and 1998. While at Cedarville, Orchard coached six NAIA national individual champions. Additionally, 42 athletes (22 women and 20 men) put together 112 NAIA All-America performances. Orchard came to Cedarville after spending six years at the University of Akron. He served as an assistant coach for the Zips' track and cross country programs plus coordinated all of their recruiting. Orchard coached the first Akron male field event athlete in school history to qualify for the NCAA Division I Track & Field Championship. He also recruited the Zips first female athlete to qualify for the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championship. Orchard is a 1983 graduate of Taylor University where he competed in track and cross country. He was a graduate assistant at Miami University (Ohio) and earned his master's degree from the school in 1986. Paul and his wife, Wendy, reside in Xenia with their sons, Brendan, 19, who is a freshman distance runner at CU; Ryan, 17; Trevor, 14; and Kyle, 10. Paul Orchard

Jason Scott
Assistant Coach
Scott returned to his alma mater after serving on staff at Hannibal-LaGrange University in Missouri. He was the Trojans assistant coach for cross country and track & field from 2009-13. Scott is the most decorated pole vaulter in the history of CU track & field. He was a two-time NAIA indoor national champion and won the outdoor title once during his career from 2004 through 2007. He was a five-time NAIA All-American in the event. The Clayton, Ohio native owns the top ten all-time Yellow Jacket marks indoors featuring the school record at 17-8.50. He has CUs top nine outdoor efforts including the school record at 17-1. Scott has remained competitive since graduation. He qualified for the 2009 and 2010 USA Indoor Championships placing as high as fourth. He also qualified for the 2010 Outdoor Championship. Scott earned a degree in exercise science from the University in 2007. He achieved a masters degree in sports coaching from the United States Sports Academy in 2011. Jason and his wife, Bethany (Davies), reside in Springfield with their son, Kade Farnsworth, who was born on May 30, 2014. Bethany is a 2009 CU graduate and was a five-time NAIA America sprinter for the Lady Jackets. Jason Scott
