Bio Patrick Sellers was named (read more) the 11th head coach in the history of the CCSU men’s basketball program on May 14, 2021. A 1991 graduate of CCSU, he returned to New Britain after previously serving as an assistant coach from 1999-03 when he helped guide the Blue Devils to a pair of NCAA Tournaments. Sellers graduated from CCSU with a degree in Accounting in 1991. Bio Ben Wood was announced as an assistant coach on the men’s basketball staff on July 2, 2021 (read more). Wood, a native of Woodbury, CT, comes to CCSU with a diverse background in coaching. Wood graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BS in Geography in 2007. He would earn his Masters degree in geography in 2009. Bio Ryan Olander joined the CCSU men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach on August 30, 2022 (read more). Olander brings experience as a former standout and as an assistant coach with a highly-ranked Division 3 program. Olander was a member of the men’s basketball team at Fairfield from 2008-12. His brother Tyler (UConn) and sister Morgan (Bryant) both played Division I Basketball. He resides in West Hartford, CT.
