Sam King
Coach
King is in his first season with the Wildcats. King was hired as the Offensive Coordinator & Quarterbacks Coach in March, 2026. King is no stranger to the state of Washington after spending the 2025 season with the Washington State Cougars as an Assistant Quarterbacks Coach. King helped the Cougars to a 7-6 record last season and a 34-21 victory in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl over Utah State. He helped the Cougar quarterback corps pass for 2,737 yards, 19 touchdowns, 15 interceptions, and collectively threw for a 64.06 completion percentage. Quarterback Zevi Eckhaus was named the Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 2025 and was named the Dolph Schayes Award under King's guidance. Prior to his season with Washington State, King spent six seasons with his hometown school, the North Dakota Fighting Hawks as their Wide Receivers Coach where he helped lead the Fighting Hawks to four FCS Playoff appearances including a quarterfinal appearance in 2020. Over his tenure, he's led UND's receiving corps through multiple productive seasons, helping the Fighting Hawks rank near the top nationally in passing efficiency and develop standout performances from multiple receivers who earned All-Conference honors as well as numerous national honors. King's unit contributed to North Dakota's offensive success in the Missouri Valley Football Conference, including a strong 2023 campaign where the passing game excelled nationally. Before becoming the Wide Receivers Coach, King spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Minnesota Duluth where he primarily worked with the running backs. While at UMD, King helped the Bulldogs rush for over 5,000 combined yards over those two years, culminating in a perfect 11-0 regular season record and a trip to the NCAA Division II playoffs in 2018. Before joining the Bulldogs, King had his first stint with the Fighting Hawks for two seasons serving as a Quality Control Coach, helping the program to a 2016 Big Sky Conference championship and the programs first appearance in the FCS Playoffs. King graduated from Bemidji State in 2015 with a degree in Physical Education and followed that by earning his Master of Education from UMD in 2019.

Tyler Stinn
Coach
Stinn is in his first season with CWU. Stinn was named the Wildcats Defensive Coordinator in March, 2026. Stinn is no stranger to the Pacific Northwest after spending the past three seasons as the Defensive Coordinator at Southern Oregon. He helped lead the Raiders to a 17-14 record with a 12-10 Frontier Conference record during his three-year span. While with SOU, he helped 20 Raiders earn All-Frontier honors with six earning First Team honors and Noah Turnbull being named the Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Year as well as a First Team NAIA All-American, and Spencer Kuffel earning Academic All-American. Before joining the Raiders, Stinn was with his alma mater Marian for seven seasons from 2016-22. He originally worked with the outside linebackers for the 2016 and 2017 seasons and in 2018 he was tabbed full-time assistant coach helping coach the defensive line for two seasons. While coaching the defensive line he helped Marian rank top 10 in the NAIA in sacks with the Knights finishing eighth in 2018 and sixth in 2019. He was crucial in the development of MSFA Defensive Player of the Year Chad Scaggs and coached Marian’s all-time leader in sacks and All-American Mac Dutra. He switched to coaching the safeties for the 2020 season. In 2021, Stinn was promoted to the Defensive Coordinator for the Knights for two seasons. In his first season as the Defensive Coordinator, the Knights ranked ninth in the NAIA in yards allowed per game and topped the association with 47 sacks in 12 games. While serving as the Knights Defensive Coordinator, Stinn helped lead the program to a 18-5 record with a 12-2 MSFA record. The Knights made it to the NAIA Playoffs each season, winning their first-round game before falling in the second round each season. Stinn also spent three seasons as a volunteer assistant with the women’s lacrosse team at Marian, helping the team make their first NAIA National Tournament appearance in 2019. He assisted Lebanon High School in 2015 by coaching the defensive backs before his stint at Marian. A native of Noblesville, Ind., Stinn graduated from Marian in Indianapolis in 2015 with a degree in Accounting and Finance. He is a former member of the Marian Football Team from 2010-14, becoming a two-year starter at safety and helping the team to the 2012 NAIA National Championship. He also helped the Knights to three MSFA Mideast titles and earned three MSFA All-Academic team honors. Stinn and his wife Bri have three children - Tymon, Lilah, and Hallie.

Samson Anguay
Coach
This is Anguay's first season with the Wildcats. Anguay was hired as the Wildcats Wide Receivers Coach in March, 2026. Anguay joins the Wildcat staff after spending a season with Idaho State in Pocatello, Idaho where he was an Assistant Wide Receivers Coach. He helped lead the Bengals to a 6-6 record with a 5-3 Big Sky record that saw ISU take down sixth-ranked UC Davis on the road as well as a big Potato State Trophy victory over Idaho which marked the Bengals first win over the Vandals since 2021. Under his guidance, three Bengal receivers were honored with All-Big Sky honors as Tsion Nunnally landed on the second team while Michael Shulikov and Damien Morgan were both named Honorable Mention. Before joining ISU, Anguay spent two seasons with the Southern Oregon Raiders as their Receivers Coach. During his time with the Raiders, SOU saw receiver Sawyer Cleveland earning back-to-back Second Team All-Frontier honors while helping SOU to a 14-7 record over his two seasons. Prior to joining the Raiders, Anguay spent one season with his alma mater, the Hawai'i at Manoa Rainbow Warriors as an Assistant Running Backs Coach. He also made a stop as the Co-Offensive Coordinator and Receivers Coach from 2019-21 with Pearl City High School in Hawai'i. Anguay competed at Hawai'i at Manoa from 2011-16 for the Rainbow Warriors Football Team.

B.J. Mullin
Coach
Mullin is in his first season with CWU. He joined the Wildcat staff in February, 2026. Mullin comes to CWU after spending two and a half years at Boise State University. He originally started as an Offensive Assistant before moving to a Defensive Quality Control position after two months. He has served as an Assistant Linebackers Coach since the 2024 season. Prior to joining the Broncos, he spent the spring 2023 semester at Eastern Washington University as a Defensive Assistant. He earned his start in collegiate coaching as an Assistant Recruiting Coordinator at his alma mater, Whitworth University. Before that, he spent the spring of 2019 as the Defensive Backs Coach at his alma mater, Moses Lake High School. Mullin, a Moses Lake, Wash. native, was a member of the Whitworth Pirates football team for five season, spending his final two as a team captain. He totaled 91 tackles: 61 solo and 29 assisted, while adding 2.5 tackles for loss totaling five yards. He also recorded two interceptions for 13 return yards, 11 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. He is a 2022 graduate of Whitworth where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management with a minor in Athletic Coaching.

Kooper Richardson
Coach
Richardson is in his first season with CWU. He joined the Wildcat staff in February, 2026. Richardson most recently served as an Assistant Offensive Line Coach at Boise State University. He helped the Broncos to a 9-5 record that included a third-consecutive Mountain West Conference championship and a birth to the LA Bowl. While working with the Broncos offensive line unit, Richardson helped play a crucial part in the development of three student-athletes who were named All-Mountain West with Mason Randolph going on to play in the American Bowl. Prior to his time at BSU, Richardson was an Offensive Assistant for the Offensive Line at Sacramento State for a season, helping the Hornets to an 8-5 record that saw Sacramento State take down then Pac-12 member Stanford on the road enroute to a second round appearance in the NCAA FCS Playoffs, taking down then 12th-ranked North Dakota in the first round on the road. Before heading into the coaching realm, Richardson played one season with the Canadian Football League's Saskatchewan Roughriders where he saw several starts during the 2022 season. Richardson played for Sacramento State for the 2021 season where he was named Second Team All-Big Sky after starting all 11 games at right tackle. Prior to his year at Sacramento State he played for Big Sky rival UC Davis from 2016-21 where he played in 30 games and served as a team captain. While with the Aggies, he was a consistent starter and played a vital role along the offensive line team that won a share of the Big Sky title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs in 2018. He was also the recipient of the team's Tony Kays Award in 2018 which is presented to the most improved offensive player each season.

Kimo von Oelhoffen
Coach
von Oelhoffen is in his first season with the 'Cats. von Oelhoffen was hired as the Defensive Ends Coach in February, 2026. Von Oelhoffen has gained valuable coaching experience at the NCAA Division II level, including serving as the Defensive Line Coach at rival Western Oregon as well as a Pass Rush Specialist at Texas A&M-Commerce, now East Texas A&M. He also spent several years at Richland High School, where he played a key role in developing the Bomber defense into one of the top units in Washington State. Von Oelhoffen put together a very respected 14-year NFL career after being selected in the sixth round of the 1994 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. He spent six seasons in Cincinnati before signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2000, where he became a key piece of one of the league's most physical defensive fronts. Known for his toughness and reliability along the defensive line, von Oelhoffen started the majority of his games in Pittsburgh and played an instrumental role in the franchise's championship run during the 2005 season, culminating in a victory in Super Bowl XL. He later finished his career with the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles. Over nearly 200 career games, von Oelhoffen recorded more than 350 tackles and 26.5 sacks, earning a reputation as a steady veteran presence and a consistent force in the trenches. Von Oelhoffen, a Kaunakakai, Hawaii native, spent one year with the University of Hawai'i at Manoa before transferring to Walla Walla Community College where he spent his sophomore campaign, finishing his collegiate career at Boise State University.

Jon'Mae Wafford
Coach
Wafford is in his first season with CWU. He joined the Wildcat staff in February, 2026. Wafford comes to CWU after serving on the staff of his alma mater, Southern Oregon, for three seasons. He spent the first two seasons as a Defensive Line Assistant before being promoted to Defensive Line Coach last season. While Wafford was on the Raiders staff, he helped guide seven All-Frontier Conference honorees with two landing on the First Team and Noah Turnbull earning NAIA First Team All-American and Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2023. Prior to starting his coaching career, Wafford was a defensive lineman for the Raiders for two seasons. Over his two seasons playing for SOU he accumulated 46 total tackles: 22 solo and 24 assists. He added 7.5 tackles for loss for 31 yards including 3.5 sacks for 24 yards. He deflected two passes and forced two fumbles. He spent his first two collegiate seasons at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, California. While with the Owls he totaled 75 tackles with 20 tackles for loss including 9.5 sacks over 20 games. Wafford graduated from Southern Oregon in 2023.
